USAD 20: Introduction to Design
A symbol or other design adopted by an organization to identify its products, uniform, vehicles, etc.
What is Logo?
A painting of Jesus Christ or another holy figure, typically in a traditional style on wood, venerated and used as an
aid to devotion in Byzantine and other Eastern Churches.
A person or thing regarded as a representative symbol of something.
What is Icon?
A person or thing that is supposed to bring good luck or that is used to symbolize a particular event or
organization.
What is Mascot?
A small card printed with one’ name, professional occupation, company position, business address, and
other contact information.
What is Business Card?
A printed heading on stationery stating a person’s organization’s name and address.
A sheet of paper with a printed heading stating a person’s organization’s name and address.
