The photoluminescence mosaic NIGHTGLASS from Alttoglass is a coating

made in a mix of basis glass with a phosphorescent pigment

in a sintering process.

The photoluminescence materials have the capacity to absorb the ambient

light , both natural or unnatural, keeping this light energy while receiving

the light and when it turns down they will show this energy in a long

luminescence way.

Our materials get a high intensity at the beginning.

The photoluminescence attributes are plenty assimilated in the ceramic tiles

products increasing for this its durability and resistance in a signifi cant way.

El mosaico fotoluminiscente NIGHTGLASS de Alttoglass es un revestimiento

fabricado a base de vidrio molido mezclado con un pigmento fosforescente

sometido a un proceso de sinterización.

Los materiales fotoluminiscentes tienen la capacidad de absorber la luz ambiente,

ya sea natural o artifi cial; reteniendo esa energía lumínica mientras sigan recibiendo

luz y luego cuando dejan de recibirla van a exteriorizar esa energía en forma

de larga luminiscencia, que en el caso de nuestros materiales tiene una ALTA

INTENSIDAD inicial.

Las propiedades fotoluminiscentes se encuentran plenamente integradas en la

cerámica aumentando con ello su durabilidad y resistencia de manera muy notable.

The 20 mm thick ceramic tile combine beauty and high technical performance. The result is an excellent solution that for endless outdoor applications.

The high resistance to heavy loads makes the product, when fi xed to a solid substrate with adhesives, suitable even for vehicular pas-sage. It is also resistant to frost and thermal shock, mould, stains and salt.

INSTALLATION STEPS

1. Position the 20 mm tiles on the ground to determine their correct positioning, making sure that they are equidistant.

2. Mark the perimeter of the 20 mm tile using a spade in the soil.3. Remove the turf and dig out about 5 cm of soil.4. Form a stable and uniform substrate using fi ne gravel (grain size 4/8 mm).5. Lay the 20 mm tile, so as to have an approximately 0.5 cm level diff erence,

between the tile and the ground.6. Using a rubber mallet hammer the edges until the 20 mm tile is at the same

level as the grass.

INSTALLATION STEPS

1. Form a stable and uniform substrate using fi ne gravel (grain size 4/8 mm).2. Level the substrate with a metal straightedge.3. Position the tile and then compact the edges in order to equalize the tile with

the substrate. It is suggested to use a joint of 4 mm to allow good water drainage.

To create a pathway with stepping stones it is important, fi rst of all, to determine the number of steps necessary, making sure that the tiles are positioned equidistantly. So as to obtain maximum stability, it is recommended to dig out about 5cm from the soil, and then place a fi ne layer of gravel. Compact the substrate and then posi-tion the tile. It is better to lay the surface of the tiles in line with the turf to avoid damaging lawn mowers.

For external installation on screed with adhesive we recommend a joint of at least 5 mm. The size and position of the expansion joints must be established by the installation supervisor. Indicatively they must have a width of between 4 and 12 mm, and divide the surface into regular areas indicatively with sizes ranging from 3x3 m to 4x2.5 m.

INSTALLATION STEPS

1. Before proceeding with the installation clean the substrate thoroughly.2. For a planar end result, it is important to apply a homogeneous

layer of adhesive.3. Check the planarity of the fl ooring during the laying operations.4. Once the installation is fi nished, grout the fl ooring. Remember to observe

the times indicated by the manufacturer for light foot traffi c before walking on the tiles.

5. Post-laying” cleaning helps remove residues of grout-joints, cement and lime. It is mandatory at the end of the fl oor installation process.

So as to have optimal draining of the elevated fl oor it is better to prepare the necessary slopes during installation of the base.

It is important to note that porcelain tiles have extremely low water absorption rates and are therefore completely frost resistant. These characteristics may result in stagnation of water close to the edges of the tiles, even if the installation is done perfectly.

We recommend installation with a minimum joint of 3 mm.

INSTALLATION STEPS

1. The installation on the plastic supports must only been done on perfectly waterproof substrates.

2. It is recommended to use a fi fth central support on the 24’’ x 24’’ tile, so as to distribute the loads equally.

3. With the use of the special adjustment key it is possible to obtain a perfectly fl at, stable surface and, where necessary, with the required slope for better water drainage.
