Product Overview

UNIPAL represents a patented product line of corrugated pallets manufactured from pallet members. These corrugated lumber members are assembled using a method similar to that used to assemble “Lincoln Logs”. This pallet member construction provides “beam strength” comparable to that found in the construction of wooden pallets.

UNIPAL is a proven, fully automated modular system to manufacture corrugated pallets. The unique construction

consisting of stringers and cross-stringers provides an outstanding beam strength in all directions.

On-site assembly is an option

UNIPAL comes with or without a top sheet, depending on your

requirements.

Because of its unique design UNIPAL outperforms all other corrugated pallets on the

market today. In fact, UNIPAL’s flexible construction enables a large variety of sizes and 2- or 4-way entry solutions. The UNIPAL pallet

unites strong performance and light weight into one innovative product. It guarantees easy and

safe handling without any mechanical assistance.

The UNIPAL pallet can be manufactured according to customer's requirements in almost any size from 600mm x 500mm (24 x 20 inches) up to 1900mm x 1530 mm (75 x 60 inches). In addition, the UNIPAL pallet is capable of transporting loads in excess of 1 ton (2,200 pounds) and warehouse stack loads up to 4 tons (8,000 pounds).

The UNIPAL I pallet is typically constructed with 8 pallet members and a top sheet, which provides both fork and pallet jack entry and exit. This pallet is truly a “pallet and skid” as it does not have bottom deck boards.

Because of its member strength, the UNIPAL I can be racked (three rails or solid deck racks) and transported over most conveyer systems in all four directions.

Its construction makes the top sheet optional where the load is contained in one or few containers or a bulk bag

Manufacturing of the stringer consists of folding and gluing every opposing surface to become one single piece of corrugated lumber.

UNIPAL Pallets Performance TestingIndependent tests have been performed by the William H. Sardo Jr. Pallet

& Container Research Laboratory at the Virginia Tech University in Blacksburg, VA and the RVR Package Testing Center located in Houston, TX.

Example of savings:

A 53 ft. high cube trailer can hold approximately 48,000 lbs of product and 30 wood pallets that weight 2,100 lbs. The difference in weight between a 12 lbs corrugated

pallet and a 70 lbs wood pallet in a truck load is 1,740#. In LTL the difference is 58 lbs per pallet.

Equivalent to one free truckload for every 27 truckloads shipped.

An average LTL cost today (including fuel surcharge)

of $.50/lbs creates savings of $29.00 per pallet shipped.

Example of savings:

A 53 foot refrigerated truck can hold approximately 43,000 lbs of product and carries roughly 28 wood pallets weighing an average of 70 lbs each. That adds up to 1,960 lbs of unprofitable weight

per truck. Corrugated pallets weigh only a fraction of that weight at 12 lbs

each. That adds up to 336 lbs. The difference between wood and corrugated pallets per truck is 1,624 lbs.

That is a savings of one free truckload for the shipper per every 26 truckloads shipped.
