DLZ has partnered with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers

for more than 50 years on a variety of civil and military

assignments. DLZ has assisted the Corps in fulfilling

its missions in flood control, Great Lakes and inland

rivers navigation, ecosystem restoration, and national

defense readiness. DLZ has provided investigations and

feasibility studies, conducted design activities ranging

from conceptual-level planning through preparation of

construction bid documents, and has provided construction

phase services.

With almost 600 employees in multiple offices, DLZ,

a family- and minority-owned, full-service firm, is a

recognized leader in the architecture/engineering and

construction services industries. DLZ’s multidisciplinary

staff includes: civil, structural, mechanical, electrical,

geotechnical, hydraulic/hydrologic, sanitary, chemical

engineers, and construction managers; architects;

landscape architects; geologists; environmental specialists;

ecologists; planners; drillers; commissioning specialists/

agents; and surveyors. Complementing this group are

technician-level specialists and administrative personnel.

They work together as a team to complete projects on time

and within budget.

DLZ’s experienced professional and technical staff is

supported by contemporary technologies including current

versions of design, drafting, and GIS software such as BIM,

MCACES MII, SPECSINTACT, and InRoads. Field data is

collected electronically with GPS and robotic surveying

instruments, laser scanners, and PDA’s. DLZ maintains

complete in-house geotechnical and environmental drilling

and sampling capabilities. Our materials testing laboratory

is validated and certified by the U.S. Army Corps of

Engineers and AASHTO’s ARML.
