Scattering Tube Urns

Scattering Tube Urns are designed and engineered to simplify the scattering process. The tubes are durable, dignified and simple to use.

Each features a convenient removable lid and an industry-first, perforated “push in” tab that opens easily prior to scattering. They contain no metal or plastic components and can be recycled or composted after use.

If multiple family members or loved ones want to participate in scattering, even in multiple locations, mini-size scattering tubes allow for that option.

Cloisonne Urns

Cloisonne is an elaborate process performed in Europe and China for centuries. The shape of the urn is firstly formed out of a metal such as copper and coated with a thin coating of enamel before firing. After firing, very fine strands of silver wire bent into shapes, are glued to the surface forming a raised pattern. The urn is fired again to fuse the two together. A water-based paste of crushed powdered glass (enamel) is painted into the raised patterns and dried before firing again in an oven to melt it onto the metal. Finally the surface undergoes a polishing process to present an everlasting very beautiful appearance.

BiodegradableUrns

Biodegradable Urns are manufactured with the environment in mind. The tree bark used to make the paper is harvested from the mulberry tree in such a way that the tree continues to grow, undamaged. This sustainable process is centuries old and ensures the preservation of ancient forests.

Once the bark of the tree is harvested, it is soaked until soft and then laid out onto bamboo screens where floral materials are inlaid by hand. The screens are then placed in the sun to dry. The resulting paper is used to make beautiful and environmentally-friendly urns.

Willow UrnWillow is a fast growing, eco-friendly and sustainable material, which benefits from regular cropping. It absorbs, and locks in, carbon dioxide during growth. Willow grows without the need for fertilisers, and actually builds fertility in poor or depleted soil. The urns are handmade using traditional skills in villages and farms.

Designed to complement the woollen casket and made from pure New Zealand wool to the same exacting environmental standards. The urn is soft and multifunctional and completed with a personalised embroidered woollen name plate. The ashes are contained within a secondary internal box which can be removed for scattering or burying leaving the tactile outer shell to be used as a memory box holding precious momentos and treasures.
