BELIZE

Belize is an English speaking country located on the northeast coast of Central America. Since Belize is approximately the size of Massachusetts, it is possible to travel from breathtaking coral reefs, through mountainous tropical rainforests, to majestic waterfalls all within a day’s journey.

Belize was an important center of the Ancient Maya Civilization and there are more ruins in the country than government buildings. Today, the country is a cultural melting pot of Creole (Afro-Caribbean and European roots), Maya, Garifuna, East Indian, Mennonite, Chinese and European/North American influences.
