Although these data have been processed successfully on a computer system at the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT), no warranty, expressed or implied, is made by the TDOT regarding the use of the data on any other system, nor shall the act of distribution constitute any such warranty. The TDOT will provide delivery of this product in computer-readable format, and will offer appropriate suggestions on use constraints. However, if the product is determined unreadable by correctly adjusted computer input peripherals, the TDOT will not furnish the dataset in any other data format as a convenience to the rrequestor.
Maps and documents made available to the public by the Tennessee Department of Transportation - TDOT are not legally recorded maps or surveys and are not intended to be used as such.
The maps and documents are created as part of a Geographic Information System (GIS) that compiles records, information, and data from various cities, counties, state and federal sources. The source data may contain errors.
Additionally, maps and documents prepared by GIS from multiple sources, even if derived from data that is error free, may not be reliable due to differences in the databases or computer programs of the source materials.
The Tennessee Department of Transportation - TDOT has attempted to include more specific clarifications or advisories on the specific documents or maps however, none of the maps or documents should be used for navigational, tracking or any other purpose requiring exacting measurement of distance or direction or precision in the depiction of geographic features.
