Lice...are not nice! They are a nuisance, but they don't cause disease. Head lice infestation is
most common in children ages 3-12 years old. While classroom checks are one means of identi-
fying infestations, they are no substitute for regular parental checks. Check
your child's head often at home. Be aware of complaints of an itchy scalp. If
you find your child has lice, contact your health care provider, pharmacist, or
school nurse for advice. Not sure about what you see? Call your school nurse :)
Thank you Ms. Leitenberger and Mrs. Brister
for an absolutely amazing STEM night! It was
a great way to show students and families the
incredible learning opportunities available at
North Bay! We can’t wait to see what is next!

RETEACHING/RETESTING A student will be allowed to retest within 10 school days of receiving his or her test grade. Students must be given the opportunity to retest on major/unit tests provided by the teacher. Activity
and term tests will not be retested. Students will be required to meet with teachers before or after school or
during designated times throughout the school day. The meeting times will be left to the discretion of the class-
room teacher. Students must complete tutorial sessions that cover skill assignments within that 10-day period.
The number of times a student is permitted to retest will be limited in order to avoid complacency about study-
ing/paying attention the first time. (Policy in its entirety is on page 17 of the Elementary School Student Hand-
book.)
