MISSIONS CONFERENCE
Embrace Missions Conference put on by the IMB. Thursday, October 25 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Baptist College of Florida. $20 Registration Fee. Registration will close at noon on Thursday, October 18. If you are interested in attending this

BRIDAL SHOWER
There will be a Bridal Shower for Cassidy Duncan today at 2:00 in the Fellowship Hall.
Cassidy and Zachary are registered at Belk, Target, and Bed Bath and Beyond.
MEN’S FELLOWSHIP
All Men and Boys are invited to the Men’s Fellowship this Thursday at 6:30 in the Fellowship Hall. Come and enjoy a great
time of fellowship and encouragement.
SENIOR ADULTS
Holiday Heritage Festival — Friday, November 16 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Baptist College of Florida Heritage Vil-
lage. There is no cost for this event. Registration ends October 31.
Deck the Halls — Westville, GA. December 3, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. There will be several holiday workshops going
on. There is an entrance fee of $10 per person. Reservations need to be made by November 15.

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY
Our Children’s Ministry will participate the Thomasville
Christmas Parade on Monday, November 26. If you or your child
is interested in joining us, please contact Morgan Bass, Lindsay
Clay, Chad Smith or Sheilah Smith.
AWANA NEWS AWANA Store will be December 16. This is a way of rewarding
the children for participating in special activities in AWANA. We will be collecting small toys (pencils, notepads, cars, trucks,
etc). A collection box will be in the fellowship hall and inside the youth room.
YOUTH HAPPENININGS
Youth Committee meeting today @ 4:30. This is an important
meeting. See Rhonda or Brian with questions.
Friday Oct 26, Bowling Night @ the YMCA in Bainbridge. Cost
$4.00 per game plus $2.50 for shoe rental. Meet at GCBC at
5:30. Bring additional money for dinner. See Brian with
questions.
A Sunday School party for High School students is planned for
Saturday, Oct 27. We will watch the Georgia - Florida game
followed by food & fellowship. See Brian for time and menu info.
We are still collecting shoes and jackets for Circle C. Donations can be dropped in the Youth room. Monetary donations are being
accepted. See Cat Conner or Brian for more info. Youth Bible Study resumes tonight. 10 Who Changed the World -
Chapter 3. A trip to the Fun Station is planned for Saturday, Nov

40 HOUR PRAYER VIGIL A 40 hour prayer vigil for our upcoming election will begin at 4:00pm on Friday, Nov., 2. Please sign-up on the chart on the
bulletin board in the Fellowship Hall. If you would like to sign-up with a partner — especially for the overnight hours, please feel
free to do so.
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD It’s time to begin collecting and filling shoe boxes for Operation
Christmas Child. National Collection Week is November 12– 19. Forms are available online at samaritanspurse.org/occ. Packed boxes can be placed on the table in the Fellowship Hall. If you
would like to donate items to pack boxes, these can be placed in a box in the fellowship hall or in the youth room. Empty Shoe Boxes
are also needed. Contact Morgan Bass or the church office for more information.

FALL FESTIVAL
Fall Festival is Sunday, October 28. from 5-8.
Our theme this year is “Old Time Festival”. We will have hand tool demonstrations, steam engines, and much more. Please
check with your Sunday School Class to sign-up to work one of the game booths.
We need donations of chips, candy and empty baby food jars.
There is a sign-up sheet in the Fellowship hall for the Chili Cook
-off and the Bake-off.
We will also have a tug-of-war competition between our men, as
well as a horse shoe competition.
40 DAYS OF PRAYER This week’s booklet is available in the vestibule.
