Page | 1 29 April 2013 Netball NSW School Holiday Clinic’s Netball NSW held two School Holiday Netball Clinics for the first time in the Northern Inland Region during the first week of the April school holidays. Children aged 5-12 years were invited to attend in preparation for the upcoming netball season, learn and try some new netball moves or have a taste of what netball is all about. Fifty nine children participated in the three hour clinics held in both Gunnedah and Tamworth in glorious sunny conditions. Participants from nearby Narrabri travelled to Gunnedah to take part, together with the local participants, in the morning clinic held at the Gunnedah Netball Courts. Parents were thrilled to have these clinics on offer in their local area. Children enthusiastically participated in a joint warm up before being split into two groups for skill and game activities. Thereafter, Netball NSW coaches travelled to Tamworth to deliver a clinic to twenty three participants, some of whom travelled from Armidale for the clinic. At the completion of each clinic, participants were presented with Certificates and a special Netball NSW goodie bag before showing off their certificates and goodie bags in a group photo. Netball NSW School Holiday Clinics are specifically designed, with all activities age specific and tailored to participant skill levels. The clinics are a great way to catch up with friends during the holidays, playing lots of fun games and improving netball skills at the same time. Thirteen clinics were scheduled across NSW these school holidays, with further clinics to be offered in selected regions during the next School Holidays. Netball NSW School Holiday Clinic’s

Netball NSW held two School Holiday Netball Clinics for the first time in the

Northern Inland Region during the first week of the April school holidays. Children

aged 5-12 years were invited to attend in preparation for the upcoming netball

season, learn and try some new netball moves or have a taste of what netball is all

about.

NetEd events are designed to provide an opportunity for those members based in

regional areas to further their skills and update their knowledge. The program will

be designed to meet the specific needs of the region and effectively service the

needs of players, umpires, coaches and administrators.

Regional State League has already begun to heat up with the Hunter 2013 Champions being crowned and the Riverina and South Coast competitions underway. Regional State League is the premier netball competition in Regions Two - Eight of NSW where the area’s most talented netballers, coaches, umpires and administrators showcase their skills. ANZ NetSetGO! is undergoing some exciting changes from season 2013 and onwards. Netball Australia (together with the Australian Sports Commission and sports marketing leader Gemba) spent last year conducting extensive consumer research and stakeholder consultation to ensure that netball is offering the best possible introductory program. These changes include new modified rules for the skill + competition and competition only ANZ NetSetGO! program. They have been designed to make the games more fun and more competitive. Northern Inland Development Tour 3-9 May 2013 Netball NSW is coming to the Northern Inland Region to discuss all things Sport Development.
