MUSIC LESSONS IN SCHOOL Meryl Bennett of NZ Modern School of Music is offering music lessons at Waihi East

PB4L Our PB4L (Positive Behaviour for Learning) journey continues to gather speed behind the scenes and should be becoming gradually more visible as we roll this out across the school. Your chil-dren are becoming more familiar with our school values and what this means for them at Waihi East School. AGRICULTURE DAY Due to the outbreak of mycoplasmabovis Waihi schools are not having calves at this years Agriculture day. Waihi East is still going to hold an Agri-culture Day for lambs and kid goats only on the 29

th October. More details

about this will be available soon. A Big thanks to Alan and Ruth Scott for offering the opportunity to raise a lamb for several of our seniors - what a wonderful opportunity! Please return your permission slip to the office.

THE HAURAKI KAPAHAKA FESTIVAL

Kapahaka Festival is on the very last day of term, September 28. We will be working dil-igently towards this over the term. More information coming.

YUMMY APPLE STICKERS We are still collecting Yummy stickers of the yummy apples sold at new world. Please keep bringing in your stickers and labels of the plastic bags. Charts are available from the office if you would like your own one at home. We send away the stickers collected

for FREE sports gear so the more we collect the more sports gear we receive.

LIFE EDUCATION Harold, Mike and the Waikato East life Education Classroom will be at our school

from 27th August to 31st August. There will be a session for parents to attend if they wish. Time and date to follow. There will be a small cost to attend Harold and will be

$5 per child. If you need help with the cost please contact Briar and the Whanau Roopu Group. They may be able to assist with this.

KIDSCAN GO CRAZY HAIR

FUNDRAISER KidsCan support Waihi East School with food, tissues, nit treatment and raincoats.

Now it’s our turn to support them! We will be holding a Go Crazy Hair day tomorrow Friday 10th August.

have been selected for the Waihi Shaw Cup Rep Rugby team.

FREE EAR CLINIC SERIVICE FOR CHILDREN

The caravan will be at; Waihi Cen-tral School, Moresby Avenue Wednesday 26th September.

9.45am—2pm. Visit the ear nurse for advice on Glue ear assessment and man-agement, Wax/foreign body re-moval, Grommet checks and treat-ment of discharging ears. All children must be accompanied by a caregiver. For enquiries re-garding this service please contact 07 838 3565.

Waihi Squash Club are running schools Have-a-Go days on Monday week one and two this term 3.30-5pm. Following the Have-a-Go we will run Monday night coaching from week 3 which will consist of mini games and lessons of the basics of squash. The Have-a-go days are free and the coaching will cost $5/child, so very cheap! Any questions call Kaylea 0223401139
