&“Black and White” rolls off the tongue so easily, and just as effortlessly, I can transfer it from my thoughts to the web. So it is hard to believe that in fashion, and in some parts of the world, there are people who would like it to remain “Black versus White” to separate the two colors and races.

This is our Black & White issue, which means that, as in our previous issues, we will play on these two colors. Yet here we will do so in order to unify the two. We have set out to show that we need not have a “Black Editorial Issue” filled with “White Campaigns,” but that both can coincide. We’d like to show that Black and White as one, side by side, is a wonderful visual. Our cover models Salieu, Matt, Viviane and Sherica are the belles and beaus of our first annual Black and White Holiday Ball, which will celebrate our sixth and final issue of 2008. We are so pleased to have been supported tremendously throughout our first year and look forward to a lot of CHANGE in 2009 - Hint, Hint…Until our next chat in the New Year!
