VOL. 04 • N° 03 JUNE 2016 Acquisition of the Ayer’s Cliff beach It’s with much enthusiasm that I’m announcing that the Canton de Hatley is now owner, in part- nership with the municipalities of Hatley, Ste-Catherine-de-Hatley and Ayer’s Cliff, of a 9 acre property located by the south shore of lake Massawippi. This acquisition, known as Servite Beach, was a unique opportunity for the Parc régional. It will ensure public access to the lake for current and future generations. A financing plan is currently under- way. This will be followed by a development plan to offer citizens, as soon as possible, the possibility to enjoy this wonderful beach. Municipal office We are now in our new offices located in the former Mont Hatley building. Though functional, the setup is temporary. The somewhat improvised move was necessary because of the opportunity to sale the former office in North Hatley. In the coming months the munici- pality will go forward with the renovation of the Town Hall. This will include the demolition of part of the existing building and the renovation of another part to create permanent offices. We thank you in advance for your understanding when you will visit the Town hall during renovations. Family Day Family Day is this Saturday June 11 th , starting at 4 p.m., at Mont Hatley Park. I hope many of you will be there and I get a chance to see you. There will be many new activities and I’m sure you and your family will have a memorable day.
