As of 17 October 2009, the Earth's population is estimated by the United States Census Bureau to be 6.791 billion
That means that there are currently roughly 150 unique web pages per every person…on the planet

As of May of 2009, 20 hours of video content is uploaded to YouTube every minute. Furthermore it is on track to pass 24 hours of content every minute.
During the course of this presentation 1200 hours of content will be uploaded to YouTube by the time I finish.

Wordle generates “word clouds” from text that you provide. The clouds give greater prominence to words that appear more frequently in the source text.

How did we do it?
1. Log into www.discoveryeducation.com
2. Find a speech (Pearl Harbor)
3. Copy the transcript text
4. Go to www.wordle.net
5. Paste the text
6. Play with the colors and you have a Wordle
In your classrooms listen to the speech first and then drop into Wordle. Discuss tone. Evaluate the speech again – what words are significant? Why?
