Rap Star, 12 yr old, Jah Stone born and raised in Crown Heights, Brooklyn is the new leader of The New Old School. Jah grew up

Chocolate: What Made You Decide To Persue Hip Hop?Yung Babby: I decided to do this because I believe I’m a real artist. I personally believe if put any genre of music in my face I can write a hit to it. King Twon: I decided to pursue hip hop because people can relate to me, plus I got a story to tell that needs to be heard. Also to live life in Chicago is a struggle, I feel if I can get my message out there may be it will help stop a lot of the violence in my city.

Chocolate: When Did You Know Your Style Of Hip Hop Was Perfected?Yung Babby: I knew my style was perfected long-time ago like 04’ when I did my first perfomance at the cotton club. This was my first show and I killed it.I got a standing O and everybody in the club that night kept asking for my info to collab. I felt like a real star that night.King Twon: I knew I found my style once I let the ears in the streets here what I had to stay and they understood.

Chocolate: Have You Ever Came To A Time When The Drama Of Music Was To Much?Yung Babby: Not really because this is the first time in my life I’m actually pursuing a music career. Hopefully I bypass those hurdles but I must say I hate the Chicago Music scene because its snake city. King Twon: No because its all entertainment.

Chocolate: Do Most Of Your Lyrics Comes From Your Own Life Struggles?Yung Babby: 75% Of my lyrics is my life. I like to talk about my issues through music because its a form of therapy for me. I really believe it helps me alot because I never get stressed out. King Twon: everything I rap about is what I been

thru and what I seen I cant rap about what I dont know about.

Chocolate: You Ever Want To Add Another Genre? Yung Babby: Actually this was one of my goals in hip hop. Theres more to me than just street music. I would never confine myself to just gangsta rap be-cause thats just a piece of me. I want to be around for many years in this game and if I have to go a Flo-rida route or a Nelly then so be it. Im gone make music for everybodyKing Twon: I just see myself doing songs with other artist in different genres

Chocolate: Would You Say That Your Fan Base Has Grown? Yung Babby: I would say yes because im a beast with this music now and people that didnt like me then. Like me now. But my fanbase is not where i want it to be right now so now I’m working even harder.King Twon: Everytime I put someone on my music my fans go up, then they let someone else listen to me. So slowly but fa’sholy the progress is coming

Chocolate: Collaborating With Family How Is That Experience?Yung Babby: Its a great thing because I put that mic in his hand at the age of 12 and to see him now its amazing. King Twon 19 now, when I was that age I was no where near as good As he is. He gone be something special I promise. King Twon: I been doing this with cuzzo ever since i was 12 and he showed me a lot. He showed me the ins and out of recording. He put me on stage and all that good stuff.

Terrence Stewart’s quest as a DJ began in 1983. He was inspired by hearing the music his cousin chose to listen to while getting ready to go out and party. Even though at age 11 Stewart was not old enough to party with his cousin, he dreamed of spinning the hottest songs that people would one day dance to and enjoy. The aspiring DJ and his good friend started pulling together their money in order to purchase pieces of DJ equipment and his godmother put a pair of turntables on layaway as an elementary school graduation present. At first, Stewart would practice his DJ skills privately in his home, but living in the Robert Taylor Homes on Chicago’s Southside he saw many DJs put their talents on display in the housing projects’ courtyard. He would watch with admiration in his eyes until one day he worked up enough courage to get on the turntables and turned the crowd on its ear. This moment served as a turning point for the young DJ. As a student at Chicago’s DuSable High School, DJ Stew, as he came to be called, was in high demand. He DJed all the school parties and events and his talents were also requested for birth-day parties. At the budding age of 15, he was asked to DJ at a club and remembers that he “sent the club to the moon”. DJiing became less of a hobby for the talented DJ Stew and more of a career as his skills and name preceded him on the Chicago DJ scene. Upon graduating from high school, many doors opened for Stew and he began traveling and sharing his talents with the world. He immersed himself in his craft realizing the more he invested himself in understanding it, the more lucrative DJing would become. Stew entered and won many DJ battle, he con-tinued to rock parties and clubs and put out mixtapes, CDs and records. Despite developing the reputation as one of Chicago’s most revered DJs, in 2000 DJ Stew took a hiatus from the career

he loved because he was disappointed in the direction he felt it was going, becoming less about the art and skill and more about the money. It was not until he reunited with old friend Thomas “DJ Slugo” Kendricks, another legend on the Chicago DJ scene, and they discussed the state of the DJ world and formulated a plan to rebuild and bring DJing back to its roots. From their meeting the Violator Juke Squad DJs was born. Violator Juke Squad DJs’ name was very heavy in the streets for two years, until DJ Slugo and DJ Stew saw the need to go in yet another direction. The two united with the Blok Club Music Group and created the Blok Club DJs. As the president of Blok Club DJs, DJ Stew hopes to share his wealth of knowledge and experience with young, eager DJ’s, helping mold them into multi-talented individuals as well as DJs. DJ Stew is a name steeped in over two decades of experience, however, Stew feels no need to brag or boast on his accolades, and would rather let is hands speak for him. Now Dj Stew had to make another important decision and step away from the blok club dj’s because he didn’t like the direction it was going. So him and a few other people saw a big-ger vision and started their own dj crew named Blok Bizness Dj’s now he see a bigger vision and have more creative control over what direction he want to move in so as one of the founders of Blok Bizness Djs he feels at home. So the mission never stop just change for the better. Dj Stew still has a lot of work ahead of him and a bigger task to take on but he is ready for the job so be on the lookout for Dj Stew and the Blok Bizness dj’s.
