which is a shortened version of the couple’s last name Ishman, also means ‘husband’ in Hebrew. Because the two are one, they decidedly named their group ISH. Their oneness is evident in their music, espe-cially as their voices are complementary and blend effortlessly. Individ-ually blessed with talents and divinely placed together, ISH is a match made in heaven. This soulful duo has smooth, sultry voices, combined with vocal acrobatics and beautiful harmonies. ISH refers to their style of music as “Soul Fusion”, because they mesh the R&B, Gospel, and Jazz genres to create their own unique sound. ISH has been captivating audiences with their live shows for over seven years. ISH has shared the stage with many reputable artists, including Grammy Award winning singer Faith Evans, the national recording ballad group Enchantment, Jarrard Anthony, Eric Roberson, and Independent Soul Sensation Frank McComb. The duo paid tribute in song to Michael Jackson, in a memo-rial concert held at his childhood home. They also joined forces with the Soul Train Impact in honoring the legendary George Daniels through song for his contributions to the world of music. ISH also sang their way into the hearts of college students, as they performed in concert at Wabash College and Depauw University among others. In Spring of 2014, the duo’s song “She” was included on the Wabash College alumni music compilation CD, and the group appeared in the school’s news publication. ISH has worked hard to make a name for themselves and to emerge on the Soul music scene. The powerhouse couple has performed on the main stage at The Shrine Chicago, and headlined a nearly sold

out concert in Indianapolis at The Jazz Kitchen. The duo’s single “The Vows” was featured in the hit film “Still Standing”, which also features Kindred the Family Soul and “Speech” Thomas of Arrested Develop-ment. Currently, “The Vows” is in regular rotation on radio shows based in the US, UK, France, Egypt, and Japan. ISH has also been featured on Ebony Magazine’s Power 100 ranked Parenting and Relationships site BlackAndMarriedWithKids.com. In 2013, ISH performed a 7-city pro-motional tour entitled “Pineapple Tour Days” that included cities in the Midwest, East Coast, and in the South. In 2014, the duo completed an 8-city tour, and traveled internationally where they headlined the inau-gural BMWK Marriage Cruise. The couple uses the stage to spread their message of love, marriage, and positivity. Caleb and Andriea believe that live instrumentation is what brings music to life. Creativity is an essen-tial element in their life together, and they feel the need to continue to challenge themselves musically. ISH feels that it is their calling to use their gifts of voice to positively influence and help others.

was born Octo-

ber 26, 1985 in St.Louis Missouri. As a kid he grew up in a

Baptist church where his dad served as an assis-tant minister years. (Pray Tabernacle M.B.) where he would go on to become a member of the choir & usher board. Because of his church/choir background, He became more & more interested in music. In 5th grade he had his very first “hands-on” experience with music when he joined the band playing the oh so very simple “plastic recorder” which became the start of many spotlight moments to come. In the 6th grade he got a little more serious about the music again join-ing the band, but this time his instrument of choice was the flute where he would go on for the next 3yrs as a 1st chair student making many small time appearances from TV to weddings. In 2000 things really started to change, “The High School” school years. By this time Ryan was a full blown musician who was already making a small buzz around school (Beaumont High) before even getting in good, “His freshman year the band teacher knew who he was coming through the door, had a flute with my name on it already”. SnakeEyes played in 3 different bands in High School (Concert, Marching, & Jazz) but it wasn’t until joining Beaumont’s Marching Band when he decided to go with a totally different instrument than the flute altogether, for the very 1st time ever he had decided to pick up the Tenor Sax ...... “Growing up he dealt with a lot of bullying because of my eyes, facial structure, etc. which has always left me with a small complex, even to this day & because he was the only guy, about 5’9 - 5’10, thin frame, glasses, no facial hair, he thought of himself as a target so he changed the instrument on the strength”. But with that change,

SnakeEyes went on to gain even more great accomplishments, “I’ve played for the mayor of St.Louis Francis Slay, Morning News channel 4 & 5, the Fox Theater, & that’s just to name a few”). Doing that time SankeEyes & a few guys

from inside the School Band had created a small band of their own called “MUSIC DYNASTY” (CORY LEE on base guitar, RAYMOND LEE on set, & a few other guys whom names I don’t wanna misspell, but they know who they are). Now even though he had played in bands for years, He had a Hip-hop side to him as well, “My inspiration for rap came from the kids in the neighborhood I grew up in, from freestyling on the front porch, lunchroom cyphers, listening to Bone Thugs -N- Harmony etc. but unfortunately he never really “FIT IN” so as far as being a rapper it wasn’t at the top of my list of things SnakeEyes wanted to be when he grew up”, but as he got older that would all change. “He started getting serious about the rap game when he became part of a group he helped cre-ate called SLR in 2003 where SNAKE EYES STL was born . SnakeEyes went through many different ups & downs doing this point in his life, the music wasn’t catching on, didn’t have a job, really didn’t have a place to live, on top of trying to provide as a father, but he kept striving to make it. Along the way he has met many different underground artist but 1 artist comes to mind when it really count he says. “While with SLR I was introduced to an artist named L.A. THE PLAYER. In 2006 I teamed up with L.A. on a solo venture where I really began to learn some of the ins & out of being an artist: the creative process, record-ing, etc. etc. In 2008 he took a break from the music “In 2010 SnakeEyes linked back up with PLAYER to further advance toward actually making a career out of what he do”. In 2011 SNAKE EYES STL released his 1st mixtape “PAY ATTENTION” hosted by Dj Yel a.k.a Mr. #IMERRWHERE. In 2012 he went on to release 2 more mixtapes, “SNAKE’S VENOM” & “REAL. MUSIC” VOL.1

MR.: You started young playing instru-ments ,Do you use those talents picking beats for your tracks?Snake: Most certainly for the simple fact it definitely gives me the ability to pick the exact sound & tune I’m looking for.

MR: Did you participate in the lunch-room cyphers?Snake: I wouldn’t say I actually rapped in the cyphers, but I was the guy with them 2 ink pens keeping the beats bumpin all the time. .... lol, at that time I still hadn’t developed the nerve for the crowd nor did I really have a good FREESTYLE game.

MR: Do you still play the tenor saxo-phone?Snake: It’s been awhile, but from time to time I do still pick it up..... it’s like riding a bike though, “u never forget how.....” but I am a lil rusty.

MR: During your writing of the tracks, do you make them relatable to today reality or personal outlets?Snake: Well I always try to do both actu-ally, because some of my personal outlets really tie into some of today’s reality. Example: I been in the streets pretty

much all my life give or take & basically that’s today’s reality, but I’ve always tried to put a positive spin on the WRITING because personally doing those times I found myself in dark places, even to this day & I’m married with kids, so I definitely try to write based on today’s reality but I’ve always tried to go at it a tad different than most I believe.

MR: What is your best stress reliever, Picking up a pen or picking up a instru-ments?Snake: Picking up a pen most of the time gets the job done especially if I can have that moment to myself, but I do have those times where I will pick up the sax.

“You Never Forget How”

MR: Was there ever a time you wanted to throw in the towel on music?Snake: There has been times where I felt like the music wasn’t catching on or generating the response or buzz I expect, so yeah I’ve wanted to walk away before but it’s kinda become a passion of mine I can’t shake.

MR: What’s the name of the track that tell your life story?Snake: Honestly I would say it may be a combination of 4 songs in particular from my “REAL MUSIC” VOL.1 mixtape (Gotta Get Away, It Ain’t Hollywood, Keep YA Head Up, & I Ain’t Stopping), but pretty much all of my songs tell u something directly about my life in some way

MR: How do you want your fans to pro-ceed your music?Snake: I just want the fans to continue

to listen & support me. At the end of the I’m trying to do this for my family & maintain a roof over our head & remain stable in all we do, it’s really not about a superstar type thing to me, but finan-cially & supportive my fans could make or break the success of my music career so to just stay on board with me is all I really ask for

MR: What made you want a career in hip hop instead of being a musician?

Snake: It’s not necessarily wanting a career in just HIP-HOP, I’m looking for a career in MUSIC, may that from me picking up the sax OR hip-hop

MR: What are some of the things you want to accomplish this year?Snake: Well for starters I really wanna create a bigger buzz & more volume, I’d definitely love to hit a few cities & states outside of my own, & pretty much over all just expand the experience. I don’t wanna do this forever, but I don’t want it to take forever to get off the ground either.

Born May 19, 1982, we are identical twins who look and act alike, but with totally different personalities. We have been performing since we were six from singing in our church choir and school choir to twirling batons and doing ballet. Our mother always was active and encouraged us to be creative and the best!! So we learned to love what we do and strive to perfect it. We were born into music. Our late father who passed, was a great musician /singer playing all around the world with his band Skin Deep!!! Our mother is a great Gospel singer. We have 5 brother!!! Our first attempt at really singing started in the 7th grade when we teamed up with some of our close friends to sing in local talent shows. We called ourselves “Destiny”!!! Be-fore the real destiny child came out we were the first to be called destiny. As we grew older and started to mature, we found another passion/talent deep within rapping and writing!!!! Our cousin helped us with our first rhyme, and our first rap and we have been doing both ever since. We do HipHop, Gangsta Soul, pop, R&b and Gospel…This is what makes us different and real like no other artist. We have always written our own lyrics, and if we were having trouble we would ask our folks for creative input. As we got into high school, we had some new experienc-es, made some new friends formed a new group called the “lil shawteez”. We thought we were too cool. Finally we decided to go at it alone and IIMpact was born(double IImpact). At the age of 14 we were introduced to a record through a studio called SilverHawk Record. That’s where we really grew and gain knowledge of the music industry as well as finding ourselves. We were dedicated for 5 years but never signed a contract. Through hard work, hustling, constructive criticism, and much-needed words of encouragement we learned at an early age how to deal with and accept the music industry. Growing up My twin and I had it rough so we push it to the limit to be successful. At times we felt discouraged by our lack of progress, but we kept trying. With our mother’s support, we got a couple of connections from doing showcases with 21st century Talent, and by the grace of God it paid off, and now we are on the way to success. We started doing things on our own , traveling and performing in LA, NewYork, Texas, Atlanta, Canada, phia-delphia, Nashville, and Kentucky. We have been on the first x factor and made all the way to the 9th day of boot camp in Pasadena Ca. we have tried out for ever contest you can thank of. We had an hour episode on the style network that led to us making jingles for E entertainment, Hollywood and getting a life changing makeover, that we still keep instilled in us… it was great pay, exposer and a blessing to have that opportunity. On our way to success no one knew we were saling our cd’s out the trunk of car and sleeping in our car if ends didn’t meet and when we sold them and made the money we got hotels as it got

better... We did whatever we had to fake it to we made it, no matter the cost. After a few years on the scene, we decided to change our name again for the image of the twins to SS Twinz/ Sha’Ree Sha’Ron, aka Bosshog and Buc!!! We’ve enjoyed our journey so far but the best is yet to come!!! And there is more to come!! Although $$ Twinz have continuously promoted them-selves in Atlanta Ga We’ve done work with, Axxcess Granted, a promotional company doing celebrity parties, videos, games, concerts and fashion shows etc. We’ve made and often com-municate with some personal friends in the industry such as, Jazzy Pha, Rico Wade and the Dongen family, jeezy, sleepy brown, bubba sparks, Big Sam from lil john and eastside boyz, wayneloc and too short. We are still on our journey and on a grind promoting our mixtape. UGQ!!! (Underground Queens) and also our original album/un invited guess!!! City to City and state to state we coming to make history and impact the world positively… Go Getterz!!!! continue page 22

was born as Darrian Hillman on January 3, 1984 in Kankakee, Illinois and from the day he was born everyone around me knew he would be somebody. Although Darrian have hurt and disappointed many of those people that cared for me and loved me he wish he could take the things in my past back but if it wasn’t for my past Darrian wouldn’t be who he am today let me take the time to explain. Darrian have always had a love for music, ever since he was 13 years old Fatz knew he wanted to be a musician. He have always had a “good ear” for music, beats, lyrics, and any musical sound in general. Calling himself FAT FACE because a very special friend called me by that name a long time ago, and it stuck with me through the years. If you were to ask me whereFatz saw my career going in the future it would be simple, I will be a force to be reckoned with in the music industry. Darrian say this because he speak on the things I know, growing up in the streets and never giving into anything that ever faced me or tried to put me down. His music doesn’t appeal to just one audience I appeal to all walks of life because no matter your age, race, background or culture we have all been hungry, homeless, abandoned at some point in life in some kind of way by someone, and to say that we all know that feeling when its finally over and we broke the struggle. Darrian speak truth into the world

through the eyes of my peers, he use that influence to maximize my longevity and strength that he know will excel in the music industry, Darrian have the drive and ambition, He know what he want and willing to do whatever it takes to get it and keep it. Yet and still Dar-rian remember and where he come from, Darrian will never compromise my morals to succeed. My life mot-to is: “I who I am will never bend”, He will never fold. Keep On Grinding (K.O.G.) his life has never been perfect in my eyes or anyone else’s, and to me that’s the pressure that bust pipes, and that is what Darrian use to reaching his goals, and influencing his music He will always come out on top and succeed just from the aspect that my life has never been easy and that’s what pushes him to be the artist that I he is now and will always be. He will always speak from what he know is real not fabricated that is where Darrian music comes from, experience, truth, and morality. The reality that he come from the streets and have broughthimself from a regular street hustler to an inspiration to those trying to break the vicious cycle and become greater than the streets, and never forgetting that’s what made me.

CEO: How is the experience working with a Twin?Twinz: It is a challenge but it is a great expe-rience!!! And we are blessed being unique, identical and very entertaining.

CEO: Ok, So which twin is the dominate one at the business and singing?Twinz: I Sha’Ree am more dominate in the business as well as singing and rapping! But we are both beast and are neck to neck at what we do it’s just I handle the majority of the business

when it comes to getting gigs and marketing us!

CEO: Did singing in the choirs make the deci-sion of loving music and making the decision has career easier? Twinz: Yes it did because We love singing in the choir but we have always love singing since we were four years old because of the love of music that came from our father and mother who are also great musicians as well as singers and songwriters! It really started when we were 12 years old and we wrote our first rap song and won the talent show as well as join a local major record label by the name of Silverhawk records where at that that time the feeling of entertaining an audience and our peer friends/family gave us was incredible and a indescrib-able feeling that we wanted forever.

CEO: By growing up in the church did the family want you ladies to stay in the Genre of Gospel? Do they accept & support the music you create now?Twinz: Absolutely our parents are very loving people we recently lost our father and big brother, we love dearly but we love the gospel

and that’s where it is in us forever but we always love to sing and rap an write different songs from all genders hip-hop R&B rap rock country jazz soul etc. We are very versatile and we do not like to be put in a box so we consider ourselves musical artists as well as entertainers

CEO: How was the experience at the young age singing in the group Destiny with friends and different personalities?Twinz: It was awesome because we first started out called the lilshawteez with my best friend GG and ended up being with just my twin and I IIMPACT AN NOW SS TWINZ!!! We were very popular and as of now as well because of that and being twins and always known for performing writing music and entertaining from our city to the next city’s!!!

CEO: Have you ever perform a song written for SS Twinz? or you stick to your own lyrics that you write together? Twinz: Now that’s a funny question because we always have written our own music true we take constructive criticism at all times but in the end we write our own music but we have had a few of songs that we have done that we did not write but we have creative writing input! But we are always open that’s why we are great songwriters because you never want to close your ear to anybody who has an offer to tell you about music!

CEO: What some of things you learn from Silverhawk records? Twinz: OMG we learned approximately everything from how to perform on stage look people in there eye and show them that you are who you are on stage that you are your music that you are determined to be the best at what you do while entertaining them we love Silverhawk may God rest our CEO #Charles Watt Jr. he pass this year as well but he on his dying bed was still trying to get us a record deal independently! We learn the game of the entertainment business we learn how to hustle our CDs living state to state out of our cars selling our CDs making our money to get our hotels and finance our homes so we love and cherish and still to this day keep in memory of every thing that we were taught it Silverhawk records we are lady Hawkets for life! He made us have constructive criticism and constructive appearance constructive performance compet-itiveness and attitude confidence determina-tion to never be defeated and to always put a

smile an joy on others faces while entertaining them!

CEO: Have you ever experience a time in a different state, where the fans was not into the SS Twinz flavor?Twinz: To be honest no because we go off of of positive energy and if we feel that a person or a crowd is not feeling us by how we look we immediately change up a song to make the crowd change their reaction and perception about what they’re looking at before they judge a book by its cover, Because in the end when

the show is over their faces are with smiles and their spirit is with joy and happiness and fun.

CEO: So tell the fans which songs tell your Story as artists?Twinz: For the love of money and live it up are our two main songs that will describe us the third one would be I need you and call me as well as Hustle which comes off of our under-ground Queens mixtape album that we are releasing now a.k.a. the beat Jacker’s UGQ

CEO: What are the goals for SS Twinz have for 2015?Twinz: We are in the process of opening up a retail store getting a radio station in Chatta-nooga as well as a nonprofit organization to give back to the youth recreationally biblically as well as financially we are cohost on our ra-dio show in our hometown and love it! But our main stream is focused on our music writing songs writing jingles producing entertaining reality all thee an above we are open to the life of music!
