About the festivalWelcome to the first ever Beeline Festival ‘Family Weekend’. The Beeline Festival is the University of Worcester’s Festival of Storytelling for Children. Now in its twelfth year, the festival celebrates stories and storytelling in all its wonderful forms.

Some of you may have joined us in previous years for storytelling, author visits or theatre at The Hive as we have featured some public events for many years. These have included visits by exciting authors such as Jacqueline Wilson and Michael Rosen. This year we have increased the number of family events to focus on one exciting weekend with two days of fun and inspirational stories.

We’ll be offering seven exciting venues including a two hundred seat ‘Festival Theatre’ and a beautiful ‘Story Yurt’. In addition to the main programme, there will be plenty of other fun activities including book characters Maisy Mouse and The Bear from ‘Bearhunt’ plus story time and face painting.

As in previous years, much of the Beeline Festival is aimed at schools. This year is no exception with two full weeks of exciting
