• Began novel project on the use of cryoablation for the management of symptomatic desmoids tumors in patients with FAP in collaboration with the radiology department staff.

Founder and Director, Center for Breast Care • Coordinated all breast care services to provide same day tissue

diagnosis and consultation for patients from an outreach area of 200 miles. Recruited all personnel and medical specialists from diagnostic radiology, surgical oncology, medical oncology, plastic surgery, medical genetics, cytopathology and psycho-oncology under a single roof. The Center for Breast Care was the only facility of its kind in the state of Nebraska.

• Started the first accelerated partial breast radiation program in Nebraska in 2003 and recruited Cam Nguyen, MD as Chief, Radiation Oncology.

• Secured Komen Foundation grant to purchase FAXITRON unit for intraoperative specimen radiograms at the breast center.

institution and referred to my service for additional training in breast cancer management by Kai Fu, MD from the lymphoma pathology section at UNMC. In 2012, Dr. Junjie Chen, a breast cancer reconstructive surgeon from the Department of Burn and Plastic Surgery, West China Hospital of Sichuan University, Chengdu, China, has spent six months rotating through my service and the Plastic Surgery service at UNMC. My practice routinely attracts medical students, residents in general surgery and obstetrics and gynecology for regular academic rotations and elective rotations. I also supervise allied health practitioners in the nurse practitioner training program in my clinic on a regular basis. Community Outreach
