UNH INTERNATIONAL EXCHANGE PROGRAM

Study abroad in Madrid, Spain’s historic and artistic capital that never sleeps. Madrid is home to the Prado Museum (the world’s biggest art gallery), Picasso’s most famous painting, Guernica, the beautiful baroque Royal Palace with over 2,800 rooms, as well as Real Madrid soccer player David Beckham.

Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, named after a former king of Spain, offers a dynamic campus of 18,000 students (almost 20% of whom are international) and the largest offering of courses taught in English in Spain. Courses are available in the areas of engineering, business (AACSB accreditation in process), finance, accounting, economics, and political science. Students have access to a wide array of cultural activities, as well as several sports centers. The University also provides first-rate student housing or shared apartments, and organizes many field trips and excursions to surrounding cities and attractions.

SPAIN’S LARGEST NUMBER OF COURSES TAUGHT IN ENGLISH

LIVE IN THE CULTURAL CAPITAL OF SPAIN

PAY UNH TUITION

Academics: Courses are available in the areas of engineering, business (AACSB accreditation in

process), finance, accounting, economics, and political science.

Housing and Meals: UCM3 has three residence halls where students have individual rooms or

shared apartments. Students cook for themselves in well equipped kitchens. All the halls are

close to the university and local transportation networks. See this link for more information.

Extra-Curricular Activities: UCM3 is a culturally rich campus. Students participate in workshops,

outdoor activities and attend sporting events. The university hosts about seventy students

associations with different themes and interests and international students are encouraged to

join.

Tuition, Fees and Financial Aid: UNH students pay their normal tuition and some fees, which is often the most affordable way to study abroad. UNH currently allows federal, state and institutional aid except work study to transfer for all UNH study abroad programs. Because each student’s financial aid package is unique, you will need to work with the UNH Financial Aid Office to learn how your financial aid will apply. Travel and Insurance: Students purchase their flight independently. Visit Int’l Polices and Travel Resources section of the CIEGE website for information about International Insurance. Eligibility: Students need to meet UNH study away eligibility requirements. Visit the Start section of the CIEGE website for details. Application Deadlines: CIEGE requires that you submit the exchange application to Carlos III by September 25 for the spring semester and by February 25 for the fall semester or year long program. Use the e-mail address below to contact Catherine D’Auteuil, Education Abroad Advisor/Program Manager for more information. What next? To find out more details about exchanges, attend a Study Abroad Information Session, held every Friday at 2:15pm in the MUB, for room number check the CIEGE website. After you’ve attended an information session and researched the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid exchange, set up an appointment with Catherine D’Auteuil in Wildcat Advising.
