ASSEMBLING THE FRAME
Step 1
Insert a 5/8” screw into the third hole from end of the Arm. The washer is placed between the screw and the Arm. Repeat for the other Arm. Slide Fence over the connectors. Do not fully tighten the screws at this time.
Step 2
Line up the second hole in the Arm to the hole in the lip of the Fence. Insert screw and washer as shown at right. Repeat for the other Arm. Do not fully tighten the screws at this time.
Step 3
Square the Arm to the Fence and tighten the screws. Minor adjustments may be needed as the Handle and the Smart Saw Base are attached. The completed frame at this point is shown at the right.

ATTACHING THE HANDLE
USING THE MARKS
Insert the T-nut through the hole in the Handle. Insert the screw with the washer through the first hole of the Arm, as shown, and into the end of the T-nut. Before fully tightening the screw, place the black end cap over the end of the Handle. Verify that the UEG frame is square, then tighten the screws.
The embossed marks on the EZ SMART Saw Base are used to line up the saw to the desired measurement on the UEG Arms. The embossed marks correspond to the inside edge of the saw blade.

Rip along the length of dimensional lumber or other long stock
Rip narrow strips from material
Rip irregular boards using a straight edge
Cut down large panels

Straight-Line Rip
USING THE UEG
CAPACITY: 0-24” width of cut (markings for 0-24” on arms); unlimited workpiece length
● Keep Fence against the workpiece. Apply pressure using the Handle as the UEG is moved along the workpiece
● The long Fence can compensate for irregularities of the edge of the workpiece● The examples below show the workpiece laying in the horizontal position, but the UEG can also be used
with the workpiece in the vertical position.
