will run from 12 noon until the game is over and the actual baseball game starts at 1:10pm. There are a limited number of free tickets, so please be very serious about attending before you sign up. If necessary, priority will go to the Brothers of Unity Lodge and their families with a cap of 4 per fami-ly. Children under 3 feet tall are free but do not get an assigned seat either. You can sign up at the lodge’s elec-tronic signup sheet: www.SignUpGenius.com/go/10C0C4DA8AD2AA13-george/26198802 (I know that’s a long string to try and type in so there is also a link on the lodge’s website at http://www.unitylodge632.com or you can call the lodge secretary at (619)501-5515. I will miss the April Stated Meet-ing as I will be in Honduras following the Route of the Mayans. I leave you in the capable hands of my Senior War-den, Rico, the officers and past mas-ters of Unity Lodge. Until next month, Adios!

Ahh, Spring time is upon us, the wearing of the green for St. Paddy’s Day has passed and flowers are blooming, wait it’s 95 degrees as I write this arti-cle. Where’s that good old San Diego Marine layer? We may not have been inundated with snow, sleet and hail but this is too hot too soon. My year in the east is progressing nicely and we had a nice turn out for Brother Bill Lauritzen’s Golden Veterans Award ceremony on February 22. Hopefully you also joined us to celebrate Worshipful Bill Taylor’s 50 year ceremony as well on March 21. Finally later this month we will honor Worshipful Bob Moffat on his 50 years on April 11. Whew, that’s a lot of Golden Veteran Awards and there’s more to come. I am pleased to announce the lodge approved us holding our Royal Lederle Picnic at Petco Park this year (Last month I stated it was the George Stephens picnic, that was in error). Sig-nups are filling in quickly, and the details are as follows. We are reserving half of the Skyline Patio at Petco Park on Sun-day May 17, 2015. It includes admission to the park to watch the Padres battle the Nationals and enjoy all you can eat picnic fare (ok, ballpark food). The event

Greetings from the East...
The year is starting to fly by and with the weather so warm, it feels like it is the summer al-ready. This past month has been a good month. Brother Schioldager is our newest Master Ma-son. His degree was filled with many first time visitors. The degree went really well with brother Jude Sotelo from Southwest Lodge helping in the degree as Senior Deacon. We are very grateful for his help and will have to repay his lodge with a visit.

Spring has sprung and we hope you re-
membered to set your clocks forward. If you have not you have been real late for many
things. Speaking of springing forward, it be-ing inconvenient for Brother Gary Philips and
Brother Jeffrey Watkins to attend the March
Stated meeting dinner to receive their Golden Veterans awards, we have sprung ahead to
April’s Stated meeting for this honored presen-tation. We will be having roast beef au jus,
very cheesy scalloped potatoes, spring salad with assorted dressings, dinner rolls, vegeta-
ble medley, and delicious desserts. No drinks
will be served with this meal. No, no April fool’s. The meal will have an assortment of
drinks too. Please be sure to call in your reservation
and plan on joining us on the 11th of April,
when we present another Golden Veteran award to Worshipful Robert Moffat for his fifty
years in Masonry. This presentation will take place at 4 p.m. and will be followed by a delicious
celebratory dinner.
It is no April’s fooling around when we say how important it is to show support to our Broth-
ers who have put in fifty long years to our frater-nity. So call ahead for your reservations so we
can get an accurate account of how many will celebrate with us.
In total we have eight presentations this year
and every one of them deserve the respect and honor of having many smiling faces in the seats
as they receive their awards and while enjoying the celebratory meal together.
