They have been responsible for securingthis sanctuary, donated by The VineyardBoise, organizing the rehearsals, tickets andadvertising sales and the local productiondetails that go into such a large undertaking. There are some people they would like toespecially thank - Vineyard Boise and theirstaff, the Boise school district for loaning usthe risers, Capitol Copy for making theprogram possible, and Karen Simkins forprayer team coverage. We hope Unity in Community lives on afterthis event to help bring more gospel musicinto the hearts of Christians in the TreasureValley. Thank you all for sharing in ourdream. And of course, all of this would not bepossible without Cora’s wonderful music andthe support of S.T.A.N.D. members whotraveled here. A special thanks to BarbaraLynn and Christina Shinkle and Cora, whosacrificed so much to make monthly trips hereto Boise for workshops. Theresa Wibbels (Choir) Terry lives in Boise withher husband, Mark, and two sons, Mac and Leo. Shesings with the Gospel Graces and the Celebration Choirand plays djembe with Drum Central. She thanks Godfor writing this music on Cora Jackson’s heart, andCora for having the courage to deliver it to the rest of usyear after year.

Christina Williams (Choir) I was born in East St.Louis, Illinois. I am a soprano and have been singingwith S.T.A.N.D. for a little more than a year. I have sungwith three gospel choirs. I am a proud mother of a busyfive-year-old little boy, TreSean, and am expecting hisnew baby brother to arrive soon. I currently reside inTacoma, Washington.

Sandra Wilson (Choir) A native of Seattle, I wasraised in a strong Christian family, where church andsinging were part of everyday life. I attended local highschools and tried out for concert choir and joined up withFranklin High School to make a Christmas album in1970. I’m the mother of three children and have threegrandchildren. I have an AA degree in EnrichmentTeaching and work with children at T.T. Minor Elemen-tary School and assist with the children’s choir. I joinedS.T.A.N.D. in the fall of 2000 - this is the most fun gospelgroup I ever have experienced.

Cathy Woods (Choir) I am the new director of aGospel choir at St. Mark’s Catholic Church called theGospel Graces. My sister started the group aftersinging with Cora Jackson in Seattle for 12 years andsubsequently moving to Boise. I am married and havetwo children. I grew up in northeastern Washington. Mymom was a very musical person, and she passed herlove of music on to her children. I’ve been involved inmusic most of my life, playing piano, flute, guitar, orsinging in church choirs. Gospel music inspires meand enhances my relationship with God more than anyother music.

S.T.A.N.D. dancers wear white face makeup.Whiteface, in effect, takes the dancers’ ownsentiments (I’m not feeling well today, my feetare hurting, this costume is too tight, etc) out ofthe equation and provides a blank sheet, if youwill, so that the viewer will see the truth of thewords and music on their faces as inspired bythe Holy Spirit.
