Leadership Giving provides the fastest way to help increase total dollars raised in the campaign. As 2010 Summit Society Chair, I applaud the 591 Summit Society members

from the Greater Flagstaff and Page Chapters. Through your philanthropic leadership, United Way of Northern Arizona invests your contributions into community initiatives such as KinderCamp and Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA). Since its inception in 2005, KinderCamp has helped 700+ children and their families become better prepared for kindergarten. In 2010, 1,655 people were served through VITA returning $1.98 million in federal and state refunds to northern Arizona. Please join me along with this year’s Summit Society Committee Members to provide continued support by contributing to this vital organization and showing what it means to LIVE UNITED. Through the community leadership of 225 Summit Society members from the Northeast Chapter, United Way of Northern Arizona has mobilized with partners and

community-based groups to create lasting change in our communities – Thank You.

Through your generous support, United Way was able to bring the KinderCamp program this Summer to the Blue Ridge School District, giving children the skills and tools needed to be more successful as they start Kindergarten this school year.

The NE Chapter hopes to expand this program to other school districts in this Region. The NE Chapter also managed a very successful Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program, helping families in our communities receive over $122,000 in their Earned Income Tax Credit.

As the 2010 Northeast Summit Society Chair, I sincerely hope that as an existing Summit Society member, you will consider continuing your investment and encourage others to be a part of the making a difference in Northeastern Arizona.
