Tocqueville Society, individuals or couples who make a gift of $10,000 or more.

• First Tuesday Luncheon | Enjoy monthly networking opportunities and hear from a prominent Tocqueville member at the Queen City Club

• Tocqueville on the Road | Evening gatherings from networking to rich discussions of the issues that challenge our community

• Beyond the Check | Hear the vision and benefits of Tocqueville membership as well as updates on United Way’s work

Leadership donors dialogue about United Way’s work in education, income and health.

Beyond recognition as a Leadership Donor, United Way offers opportunities for segments of donors to engage together in our work. There are no additional giving requirements to participate in any category for which you qualify.

Women’s Leadership Council (WLC), a segment of the Tocqueville Society, women members who make a personal gift of $10,000 or more.

WLC is a powerful, passionate network who strengthen our community through focused investment of their time, talent and resources with specific efforts supporting women’s self-sufficiency. WLC provides opportunities to get involved, get connected and pursue your passion:

• Networking | Connect with women leaders across the region • Enrichment | Grow personally and professionally through enrichment opportunities • Impact the Community | Mentor women or support educational seminars for women through events that highlight United Way’s work • Volunteer Opportunities | Connect at unique, family-friendly projects

Women Investing in the Next Generation (WINGs), women who make a personal gift of $2,500 - $9,999.

WINGs mobilizes the power of women to strengthen our community and members through engaged philanthropy specifically in early childhood development. We invite members to help lead our community by:

• Networking | Connect with women leaders across the region at unique events

• Professional and Personal Development | Grow through opportunities such as career advancement, ‘how to’ networking and style consultations

• Volunteering and Impact | Make an impact through hands-on work with children and parents

• Advocacy | Advocate at the federal, state and local government levels

Hispanic Leadership Society, Hispanic individuals or couples who make a gift of $2,500 or more.

Hispanic Leadership Society members advocate, inspire and facilitate meaningful change in the Hispanic community. In addition to the established Leadership Giving benefits, members enjoy unique opportunities like:

• Networking | Engage at special events with members and prospects

• Connections | Work with members to create opportunities that impact our region

• Volunteering and Impact | Work on projects targeting needs in the Hispanic community

• Advocacy | Advocate and facilitate actions that address education and other issues in our community

The Herbert R. Brown Society (HRBS), African American individuals or couples who make a gift of $1,000 or more.

As members of HRBS, African American leaders can strengthen the collective impact on the region through community building and promoting balance and inclusion. To help achieve this, members can participate in:

• Speaker Series | Attend bi-monthly luncheons to network and hear from prominent, African American business and community leaders

• Special Events | Enjoy exclusive members-only events

• Volunteering and Impact | Invest in professional development and volunteer opportunities

• Shaping Future Generations | Provide a solid foundation for future generations to give, advocate and volunteer

United Way Emerging Leaders, young professionals age 40 and under who make a gift of $1,000 or more.

As an Emerging Leader, you’ll make an impact, build your leadership capacity and strengthen your network through benefits like:

• Leadership Live | Exclusive opportunities for members to dialogue with established community leaders

• Board Intern Program | A nine-month program to help members develop as volunteer leaders by providing access to trainings, board meetings, and committee work

• Leadership Development Summit | A half-day event focused on various leadership topics including a speed-mentoring session with local leaders

• Volunteer Opportunities | Community service events, including long-term partnership work with Mt. Washington School to showcase our support of United Way’s education initiatives

UNITED WAY VOLUNTEER CONNECTIONUnited Way Volunteer Connection makes volunteering fun, easy and accessible to individuals, families, groups, and corporations. Specific resources include:

• BoardBank | A program that provides assistance to non-profit organizations seeking talented, passionate and dedicated individuals to serve on their respective boards

• Board Orientation & Leadership Development (BOLD) | A six-week training program for individuals interested in learning the best practices of board membership from experts in our community and through various hands-on experience

• Initiatives and Events | Support our work by volunteering for the Earned Income Tax Credit Initiative, Day of Action, Financial Fitness Day, or by taking the pledge to become a reader, tutor or mentor

• VolunteerUWGC.org | Browse hundreds of volunteer opportunities at United Way Agency Partners or any local non-profit. Volunteers can track hours, receive custom alerts, and share opportunities with friends Volunteers work together to create

blankets for first-time parents.
