Prospectus 2017

ERT SAR is a Disaster Response & Missing Person SAR Emergency Service. We

were founded in the United Kingdom in 2002 and in 2011 we founded a fully

operational team in Canada as well as Field Support Teams worldwide.

ERT Search and Rescue deploys on calls from the Emergency Services and crown

agencies such as Police, Fire and Ambulance / EMS and Government as well as

when calls for international assistance or by bilateral agreement.

ERT SAR is an International NGO and registered charity and Federal Non-Profit.

ERT SAR strives to save lives and relieve pain and suffering to

victims and casualties. One of the ways we do this is through our

Medical response capacity.

ERT Search & Rescue ascribes to the United Nations INSARAG

(International Search and Rescue Advisory Group) Standard and is

conversant with other standards such as NFPA Rescue, FEMA

USAR Markings and DEFRA Water Rescue.

ERT Search and Rescue ‘launched’ the Marine Unit in 2004 and it has deployed

to disasters, floods, and rescues in several countries.

The team follow an international standard of Flood

and Water Rescue including NFPA UN INSARAG & DEFRA UK.

ERT SAR Has Mountain Bike Search and Rescue capability with

a unique proprietary program developed for Search and Rescue

and Disaster Response.

ERT SAR are trained searchers and man-trackers and are called by the POLICE in emergencies to look for

HIGH RISK MISSING PERSONS.

ERT SAR has trained volunteers and assets

to support their operations. They are

always seeking more community support

NEW MEMBER Recruiting RECRUITMENTAs a general rule, ERT SAR

recruits members twice a year –

in April and October. Members

tend of come from Emergency

Services and Military

backgrounds but this is not a

pre-requisite.

Standards for operational

members are high. Annual

fitness tests must be completed

and uniform and kit checks

performed on a regular basis.

ERT SAR recruits to three main

functions: 1] SAR Engineers

(and Searchers), 2] Medics and

3] Rescuers for deployments.

ERT SAR does not recruit direct

to these roles and new

members must complete 2

foundation courses and 5

training sessions before they

may become a member
