Building Insulation

ROCKWOOL Recycling ProgrammeROCKWOOL is committed to the WRAP ‘Halving waste to landfill’ initiative.Not only do we minimise the amount of our own waste going to landfill, we also support and encourage our customers to do the same.

We are happy to recycle ROCKWOOL stone wool insulation at our recycling plant in Bridgend, South Wales. We also recycle facings that have been applied by ROCKWOOL such as aluminium foil, glass tissue, glass scrim and steel wire netting.

Recyclate sent to us can be packaged in the following ways:

■ In clear, sealed plastic bags (max 2000mm x 2000mm) weighing no more than 20kg

■ On a pallet secured with shrink wrap

Recyclate should be free from contamination and transported by a registered waste carrier at the cost of the sender.

DeliveryTerms and ConditionsAt ROCKWOOL, we have been manufacturing and stocking products locally for over 35 years. Our aim at all times is to give you the best possible customer experience.

To help offer you the very best service, we hold stocks of the most popular products. Everything contained in this price list is a Stocked item unless it has been designated as Made to Order.

We know that occasionally you need something that’s a little out of the ordinary, so we’ve also listed a selection of Made to Order products - these are labelled within the product tables. Delivery conditions and minimum order quantities apply to these items.

Whilst every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of this price list and its content, ROCKWOOL reserve the right to alter in the event of any errors or omissions.

Non-Standard Products Any products not listed within this price list will now be treated as Non-Standard products. Prices are available on request within 3 working days. All Non-Standard products have the same lead times from the date of order as Made to Order products.

Re-stocking/ReturnsIn exceptional circumstances and at our discretion some Stocked products may be returned. You will be responsible for the cost of collection of any agreed returns, and a restocking fee of a minimum of 25% of the list price will apply. A credit note will only be supplied if the product returned is in a saleable condition.

Made to Order and Non-Standard products cannot be returned.

In StockThese products will normally be delivered within two to three working days, for orders received before 11am. For example, an order placed by 11am on Monday will be delivered on Wednesday or Thursday.

Deliveries to Scotland and Northern Ireland will normally be delivered within three to four working days.

The minimum order quantity will consist of one pallet of a single product thickness, unless otherwise stated.

Made to OrderThe products in this category will normally be delivered within ten working days. If your order is made up of a mixture of In Stock and Made to Order products, the order will be delivered in line with the longest lead time.

Orders for Made to Order products cannot be accepted for less than the minimum order quantity displayed. The full order quantity must be taken as part of a single order which may be taken over multiple deliveries over a one month period.

Once ordered, Made to Order products cannot be cancelled and the full costs will be applied.

Made to Order products are identified by a • symbol.

Products fabricated by third parties will normally be delivered between 10 to 14 days.

Delivery Options and CostsAll full load deliveries are made free of charge

(UK mainland only).

Deliveries of less than one full load will attract charges

as outlined below.

Half loadsSubject to availability and to the costs shown in the table below, half loads or more qualify for a timed delivery within a two hour window.

Loads which are less than half full are scheduled over a two day period. You can secure a timed delivery within a two hour window for an additional charge of £250.

CollectionsCollections in a suitable vehicle can be arranged from ROCKWOOL in Pencoed, Bridgend between 7am and 12 noon Monday to Friday.

The ROCKWOOL Customer Support Centre will provide information on this service as required.

Please note: all other terms and conditions remain the same.

Delivery Vehicles ■ Articulated HGV

Our standard delivery vehicle is a 16.5m articulated HGV, weighing up to 44T. Other delivery vehicles are available and are detailed below.

■ Moffett The cost of a moffett service is £180 and is in addition to the charges in the table above.

■ Flat Bed Trailer The cost of a flat bed trailer is £200 and is in addition to the charges in the table above. This is for Flat Roof products only. A crane will be required on site for offloading.

■ Restricted Site Access Vehicle If your delivery destination has restricted site access and requires the use of an urban trailer please contact our Customer Support Team. A charge of £250 will be made for this service and is in addition to the charges in the table above.

FORS ■ Deliveries requiring FORS Bronze are available

at no extra cost on request.

■ Deliveries requiring FORS Silver and FORS Gold are available on request for a surcharge, please contact the Customer Support Centre for further details.

Amending OrdersYou can amend an order free of charge for stocked items up until 11.00am, 48 hours before dispatch, or additional charges will apply.

Postponed DeliveriesStocked ItemsThe storage charge will be £50 per trailer per day.

Postponed Flat Bed DeliveriesDeliveries requested on flat bed trailers which are postponed within 48 hours of the agreed delivery date will be subject to postponement charges. Storage charges will apply.

Refused DeliveriesDeliveries which are refused for any reason (e.g. windage, weather conditions etc) will incur costs which will include the delivery and return charges and ROCKWOOL handling fees.

Redirected DeliveriesDeliveries that are redirected from the agreed delivery destination will incur charges. ROCKWOOL Customer Support Centre will confirm these costs at the time of request.

Split DeliveriesWe offer limited split deliveries on request where possible.

Acoustic Calculation Tool Our new online Acoustic Calculator gives Rw dB predicted results and corresponding BIM models for a wide range of external walls, roofs, partitions and ceilings. ROCKWOOL® Cavity wall insulation is a rigid full-fill insulation solution for masonry cavity wall construction, suitable for use in new builds and extensions.

Lightweight and easy to handle, the batts are simple to install and provide a close fit against brick and blockwork, adapting to imperfections in the cavity wall.

ROCKWOOL® Cavity wall insulation is available in a range of thicknesses.

High Performance Partial Fill Cavity SlabHigh Performance Partial Fill Cavity Slab is a semi-rigid partial fill insulation solution for masonry and framed cavity wall construction. It is designed to withstand typical conditions on-site and absorb any irregularities on the inner leaf. Consisting of a robust outer surface engineered to a resilient inner face. The slabs knit together when tightly butt jointed, eliminating heat loss caused by gaps.

Cladding Solutions

ROCKWOOL cladding solutions offer lightweight thermal, fire and acoustic cladding insulation suitable for external wall and roof applications.

These include ventilated façade systems and built-up metal wall and roof systems. The ROCKWOOL range of cladding insulation delivers excellent fire protection and soundproofing performance, and are available in a variety of thicknesses.

Cladding SystemsRAINSCREEN DUO SLAB®

RAINSCREEN DUO SLAB® is a dual density insulation board comprising a robust outer surface and a resilient inner face which has been designed for use in conditions of severe climatic exposure. Because of its unique dual density construction RAINSCREEN DUO SLAB® requires fewer fixings, thus providing a cost effective solution in over cladding applications.

SP Firestop VRB The SP Firestop VRB provides an open state cavity fire barrier within building façade systems, allowing for suitable ventilation and drainage under service conditions.

The product has been fully tested to ASFP TGD 19 and provides up to 60 minutes fire resistance (integrity and insulation).

The SP Firestop VRB can be manufactured to suit any cavity space up to 300mm.

Twin Skin Metal CladdingCladding RollCladding Roll is a lightweight, flexible mat which delivers a combination of thermal, fire and acoustic performance. Suitable for use within built up metal roof and wall applications ROCKWOOL® Cladding Roll is available in a variety of thicknesses and can be produced with an aluminium facing for increased tensile strength in vertical wall applications.

For vertical applications we would strongly advise the use of foil faced cladding roll.

Foil Facing: These products are available with foil facing (subject to production compatibility), for a list price please contact Customer Services.

Foil faced products are available in 1000mm wide only.

Minimum order quantities apply.

HARDROCK® Multi-Fix (DD)The HARDROCK® Multi-Fix (DD) product range offers a versatile flat roof insulation system that can be used within an array of flat applications. Compatible with most common waterproof membranes including; Single-ply, torch applied bitumen and liquid membranes, the HARDROCK® Multi-Fix range of products provide thermal, fire and acoustic design solutions for a wide range of new build and refurbishment projects.

Acoustic MembraneROCKWOOL® Acoustic Membrane is a high performance, sound deadening, flexible polymeric mass layer which can be used to further enhance HARDROCK® Multi-Fix (DD) acoustic roof systems.

Acoustic Infill ROCKWOOL® Acoustic Infills consist of a trapezoidal shaped ROCKWOOL insulation which can be engineered to suit all types of perforated metal roof deck profiles.

Acoustic Infills provide a combination of optimised density, fibre direction and excellent fit to deliver significant levels of sound absorption, designed and tested for use within ROCKWOOL HARDROCK® roof systems.

HARDROCK® Multi-Fix Angle Fillet The HARDROCK® Multi-Fix Angle Fillet is manufactured from high density ROCKWOOL insulation and produced with an integral mineral coated glass fibre fleece.

The HARDROCK® Multi-Fix Angle Fillet is non-combustible, heat resistant and designed to fully support bituminous waterproof membranes at 90° abutments, providing a smooth transition between the horizontal and vertical interface.

HARDROCK® Multi-Fix Recovery Board The 30mm HARDROCK® Multi-Fix Recovery Board has been purposely designed to simplify the repair and refurbishment of flat roof systems. The ROCKWOOL® Recovery Board can be used to isolate and prepare the surface of existing roof systems, providing the perfect platform for the installation of new waterproofing membranes.

The HARDROCK® Multi-Fix Recovery Board is compatible with all commonly used flat roof membranes including; Single-Ply, EPDM, bitumen and liquid membrane systems (including GRP).

In the event of a fire, our fire proof insulation slows the spread of the flames. ROCKWOOL stone wool does not produce dangerous toxic smoke and also helps protect the building’s load-bearing structure, protecting lives and investment.

By protecting the structural frame of the building from destruction by fire, it is possible to give occupants more time to escape, and to limit damage to the building.

ROCKWOOL insulation provides in-built fire protection in every slab, roll or panel, and because stone mineral wool can tolerate temperatures up to 1000°C it is the ideal material for fire protection.

Fire Tube Soffit SlabFire Tube is a rigid, pre-formed cylindrical section of ROCKWOOL insulation specially engineered to provide cellulosic fire protection to circular section structural steel, and to process sprinkler and service pipes. In addition to fire protection the Fire Tube provides a high degree of thermal and acoustic insulation.

Soffit Slab provides cost effective fire resistance and thermal insulation to concrete soffits and consists of a rigid ROCKWOOL insulation board in various thicknesses. It is available in black or white tissue facing, aluminium foil facing and also a non-combustible high-impact board.

SP Firestop System Thermal Cavity BarriersSP Firestop Slab® has been specifically designed to form cavity fire stops within buildings. It is a one-piece system enabling easy cutting and installation, and also provides a unique lateral compression to facilitate a tight fit.

The SP Firestop Slab® can be installed horizontally or vertically and is suitable for cavity widths between 50mm and 400mm in both masonry and curtain wall constructions.

Thermal Cavity Barriers - TCB (Thermal Cavity Barrier) and PWCB (Party Wall Cavity Barrier) - have been developed to exceed minimum building regulation requirements for fire resistance within concealed wall cavities. Tested and assessed to BS476:Part 20, they provide up to 60 minutes fire resistance (integrity and insulation).

Ablative Coating is used to further improve the fire resistant properties of ROCKWOOL stone wool slabs. The ablative nature of the coating resists the risk of flame spreading and forms an insulated char which protects the stone wool slab. Ablative Coating is used within the manufacturing process of the ROCKWOOL Ablative Coated Batts and is available separately to enable any site repairs.

Acoustic Intumescent Sealant seals joints and service penetrations within walls, partitions, fire rated door frames and glazing systems. It can also be used to seal joints within party walls to provide an acoustic seal.

Fire Rated Silicone Sealant is made up from one part alkoxy cure silicone providing excellent unprimed adhesion to most building surfaces. This high specification product is designed to be used in joints with high movement capability or where they are formed between dissimilar substrates, for example, steel and masonry.

Ductslab and DuctwrapDuctslab and Ductwrap provide thermal insulation for air conditioning, warm air and extractor ducts, located either in plant rooms and boiler houses or externally. They can also be used to thermally insulate cold water storage tanks, feeds and expansion tanks with service temperatures of up to 230°C.

Ductwrap consists of a lightweight, flexible insulation roll faced with reinforced aluminium foil. Ductslab consists of a semi-rigid insulation slab faced with reinforced aluminium foil.

Pipe Section Mat (PSM)Pipe Section Mat (PSM) consists of rigid foil faced slab with factory machined grooves on the inside face to specifically suit large pipe diameters. The distance between the grooves is calculated to ensure that PSM closely fits the pipe with all grooves tightly butted together. PSM is designed for thermal and acoustic insulation of large diameter pipes and ducts.

The packaging and splitting of these items varies according to the size of the section. These sections, will be supplied either pre-split or unsplit dependingon the size required. Some sizes are boxed and some are supplied as singles wrapped in polythene. For details on the specific packaging and splitting ofthe pipe required, please refer to the RockLap packing specification on pages 52 and 53 or contact the ROCKWOOL Customer Support Centre.

Fire Duct SystemFire Duct Systems (previously Conlit® Ductwork Systems) provide fire protection and thermal and acoustic insulation for circular and rectangular steel ductwork.

Three product derivatives are available within the Fire Duct System range:

■ Fire Duct Slab - for rectangular ducts■ Fire Duct Section - for circular

ducts between 60mm and 356mm diameter

■ Fire Duct PSM - for circular ducts greater than 406mm diameter.

Benefits ■ Up to 2 hour fire protection for

stability, integrity and insulation ■ Fully certified to BS476-24

(duct types A and B) ■ Can be installed on standard

DW144/42 ductwork ■ Multi-purpose insulation:

fire protection, acoustic and thermal
