Presentation
Each team has 3 members. During weeks outlined above, team members will give a twenty-minut e presentation on a management topic based on a case study or a real business. List of case studies will be
posted in the SIBT portal under announcements. Only one topic may be selected and no two teams can select the same topic.
Each team will apply their knowledge of management theory and analyse to the designated case study and present their findings.
Specification The analysis will be written in the format of PowerPoint slides, with in-text-citation and reference list, also explanation of each slide at the end of each slide. The PowerPoint slides will be approximately 500 words (total). A soft copy of this must be uploaded to Turnitin prior to the presentation and a hardcopy submitted to the lecturer before the presentation (with similarity report). Ensure you print 3 slides to a page in black and white.
FNDB022 Foundations Management | Session 2, 2018 7
Additionally, use Google docs (with your team) to create the PowerPoint slides and email a copy of this to the lecturer prior to the presentation.
There will be a ten-minute discussion by the whole class, after each presentation. During this session any student, beside members of the presenting team, who makes a constructive contribution, will earn a maximum of one mark toward their class participation mark.
The assessment mark is in two parts: team work and individual contribution. Each team is marked separately, every team member receiving the team's mark (out of ten) for the written article and an individual presentation mark out of ten. The individual mark is based on knowledge of content and application of management theory, communication and public speaking skills.
