Introduction:

I am currently in a work placement for my local football club administration department. I have been asked to create a spreadsheet which stores data about the the club season ticket holders. I have started off by planning and designing my spreadsheet according to user requirements.i came up with a few alternative designs to give some choices. I then created the spreadsheet and tested it according to the assignment 3 brief. Lastly in this assignment, I will be reviewing my completed spreadsheet. And how it meets the user requirements and intended purpose. As well as evaluating my final designs against my initial designs. I will make at least three recommendations for how you can further improve the spreadsheet.

1. Evaluate how the spreadsheet solution meets the user

requirements, and fits the intended purpose. The assignment brief for the new spreadsheet asked for 3 worksheets : Worksheet 1: Ticket-holder details Worksheet 2: Summary of information Worksheet 3: Season-ticket type details In my solution I have provided : Worksheet 1: Ticket-holder details

This worksheet meets the user requirements as it has the correct calculations and tools used. For e.g. an if statement has been used to calculate the ticket price according to the ticket type chosen.Also I have used a drop down menu in accordance with the IF statement. I have included the rest of the formulas and calculations requested except ‘Macros’ which was required from the user. I have also added an extra feature which is used in column A which is filtering. I set out a rule which focuses on specific information needed for the spreadsheet.

Worksheet 2: Summary of information

This worksheet meets the user requirements as it is an output from the ticket holders worksheet. This has been created to calculate the total sales and number of ticket sold. This is most helpful to the user as they can easily view how many money and tickets have been made and sold. This prevents from the user calculating the cost and tickets by not adding it up manually. The IF statement is used to help and automatically update the worksheet. A disadvantage of this is that i have not aligned the title in the middle of the worksheet. Here is my season ticket type worksheet, this plays a big part in the spreadsheet as it is used for the ticket types in the ticket holders worksheet. It used in a drop down menu which is done so that when a ticket is chosen, a price will automatically entered according to the ticket chosen. I have also included 2 images that represent the stadium and the ticket prices. I have chosen 6 ticket types along with the prices. The stadium represent which part of the stadium a ticket belongs to you. This is another output and also the disadvantage is that i would make the columns a bit smaller so that it looks more professional. 2. Evaluate the final spreadsheet against the initial designs.

This is my final design which looks more professional than my initial

design, because the title was not centred aligned in the middle which

cause confusions and seem like a cell that contains information rather

than a heading used for the worksheet. My final design shows that the

title clearly states what the worksheet is displaying. I have not added any

colour to the columns as it looks very well presented on a blank canvas.

3. Make at least three recommendations for how you can further improve the spreadsheet.

1. My colours are not consistent throughout each of the worksheets. In future I think that matching colours together would look very well together.

2. My column D in the ticket holders worksheet should not be aligned in the middle as it looks messy and all over the place. I would look very tidy if aligned to the left.

3. My titles for the summary of information worksheet are too big and look unprofessional. This will look unsatisfactory to the manager and employees.
