Evalua1on    

The paper mache as they stuck really well together and. Used loud colours making the roughness from the PVA glue, making it stick together. 2 paper mache cup and wire was successful as the paper mache was colourful, creative as well as the wire. The cup wouldn’t come out of the paper and was stuck meaning it wouldn't come out which was left. The wire was hard to balance up straight in the way I wanted it to. The colour I used in my work is yellow tissue paper, pink and green. Yellow is a bright colour and makes it stand out and eye-catching to look at, plus

I used pink and green which made it more interesting to see.

I would keep the uses of colours, and the design on the paper. The yellow and pink colours worked together giving bits of orange effect. Using also white paper with black writing on gave a good effect to finish it off.

Evalua1on  

I  modeled  wire  and  plaster  to  make  an  addi1on  of  the  wire  sculpture.    Materials  I  used  was…    wire    paper    cloth    plaster  

Trying  geXng  the  material  as  smooth  to  give  it  a  more  effec1ve  look  and  be  able  to  get  it  what  you  want  as  I  wanted  it  to  be  a  man  standing  but  as  turned  to  a  woman  who  has  no  head,  pregnant.  Apart  from    the  turn  out  it  s1ll  looked  affec1ve  and  unique  to  anything  else.    

Antony  Gormley  

Antony  Gormley,    26  metres  “Crouching  Man”.  Netherlands  17  September.  

The  sculpture  is  a  man  crouching  down  and  is  in  front  of  a  beach  meaning  the  man  maybe  watching  the  sea  from  a  different  height.    The  sculpture  has  a  story  behind  it  as  a  man  is  crouching  down  of  the  sea,  looking  relaxed  and  it  is  seen  it  has  strength  but  also  weakness.  The  sculpture  seems  to  have  a  purpose  as  it  shows  how  powerless  the  man  is  because  it  is  crouching  down  as  if  it  cannot  sit.  The  ar1st,  Antony  Gromley  could  worked  from  memory  as  it  could  be  him,  himself  or  someone  could  inspire  him  to  make  the  sculpture.  Also  it  can  be  real  life  as  he  is  at  the  sea  himself  watching  a  person  crouching  down.

Evalua1on    I  based  my  work  from  the  crea1on  of  my  mind.  As  I  like  to  draw  nature,  birds,  insects  trees.  The  colour  is  black  and  white  to  give  more  a  effec1ve  look  of  detail  within  the  rose  and  plants.  I  start  to  use  ink  and  create  something  ordinary  by  folding  sheets  of  paper,  cuts  and  turning  it  into  something  realis1c.  I  used  paper  and  making  all  the  nega1ve  space  turning  into  posi1ve  bring  it  out  as    3D,  the  bird  looks  as  if  it’s  coming  out  of  the  paper  as  well  as  the  flowers  going  different  direc1ons  as  it’s  a  maize.  A  smooth  but  sharp  look  as  the  detail  of  the  tones  is  sharp  but  the  flowing  of  the  flowers  are  smooth.  The  meaning  is  life  is  a  mad  thing  meaning  life  is  a  rollercoaster  of  up  and  down  emo1ons,  what  to  do  in  life.    There  isn’t  really  a  meaning  behind  the  work  but  its  what  interests  me  during  life,  of  how  nature  was  created,  how  crea1ve  it  is  and  crea1on  of  the  mind.  Which  is  linked  to  art  as  there  is  many  crea1ons  and  how  it  was  made,  who  made  it.

Peter Callesen

Callesen most well known work is folding sheets of paper, he cuts the paper and turns it into something realistic. The reason why he uses the material paper is because we use it in everyday life. He uses the use of positive and negative space to bring it out as it is 3D, the bird looks as if it’s coming out of the paper. Plain white paper, simple form grays of the shadows. Sharp and defined as the shadow behind the 3D bird and 3D flower. Shape as a bird, coming out of the paper to make it 3D and realistic. Smooth looking which a sharp look within the wings. The lighting showing the shadow is more deep. The nature of the birds ready to fly towards the flower. Bird flying into the air to be free of everything and let loose of everything. It is telling us t be free and express yourself. The dark shadow represents the pass is dark and the bird flying is the future is bright. Make us think about to be free in life, in nature and to not let anyone get away in what you want to do and follow the path in what you want to do as the bird is flying towards the flower. The artist worked from memory by using paper creatively but mainly real life as it is nature with the bird about to fly and realistic looking. He worked from a photograph.

Paul  Chan  

The meaning of the Paul Chan art is to get through to people about the nature of tree’s, that trees are natures beautiful things as we take trees for granted as we use for paper. The multicoloured and the light effects it as they give us light, and mostly give us the oxygen. I think there is a story somewhere behind this tree to give a bold look and the different size of the leaves also some one image of the tree overlapping on over one another. The out of space of the frame to try and be seen. Make us think about the negative space turning into positive space by just one little thing which is ordinary looking to see on the plan white ground. Chan work is real life as its images of nature of trees, people. Which links to my work of nature.

Paul Chan colour use is mainly black and white but some are colour which is multicoloured. Chan is most known for getting images and putting it on a projector making it come out of the screen on the wide negative space on the floor making this positive look with the tree. Sharp and defined as the shadow of a tree as 3D and the shape of the tree, as if its coming out of the window making it 3D and realistic shadow on the ground. It looks smooth but with sharp look within the leaves of the tree which a sharp and the trunks. The lighting showing the shadow is more deep and dark, noticing what the image is of the tree.

Nature has high and lows, big and small impressions as you don’t know what's going happens in life. In life everything is different and nature is life, life is not perfect. Life is high and low with everything with the birds together one going up and the other going down. Separating and going different directions in life, follow your dreams. Being with someone but then going separate ways and different directions in life. Thinking about nature of being free in what you want to do in life, not let anyone get away in what you want to do and follow the path in what you want to do as the bird is flying towards the flower. Mattila work is based on real life of nature but gives us think of what he is trying to tell in his work.

Jaako Mattila work is mainly black and white and a lot of use of ink. The different shaped of black and white giving more depth and detail. His work is a look of natural history with two birds together which make creative and life. The plants growing, the bird growing together in life and not being apart from one another. Large plant in the middle of the page with other different sized plants surrounding the plant, being together and coming out of the page. Smooth and defined as the different manner of the plants together but are diverse directions. The detail of flowers looking as if its coming out of the paper to make it have features of different tomes of realistic.

Zadok  Ben  David  

Zadok Ben David too uses black and white in his work. His most well known work is the paper coming out of the paper, he cuts the paper and turns it into something practical and rational. The reason why he uses the material paper is because we use it in everyday life. Ben David uses the use of positive and negative space to bring it out as it is 3D, the flowers coming out look as if its ready to grow, nature of the plant. Sharp and fine cuts curled look within the realistically flower. Singular sizes and looks with the flowers growing, going different directions. Shading and tone makes the growing plants more unusual looking as pragmatic.                  

Ben David’s work often references his Yemeni heritage and its oral traditions, symbolism, illusions and cave paintings. In addition, his work also pays attention to and inspired by alternative influences such as scientific documentation, hand coloured illustrations from the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. There is a story within his work as to why create plants growing from out of the paper and recycling the material to making what its come from. Thinking of the start of life having something little and different. Ben David work is something memorable to real life as from the start being nothing to something so big and outstanding of creation.
