Uninstall McAfee and the

McAfee Removal Tool

Step1:Close down all programs and go to the Desktop (if

you are on the Start Screen press [Windows] and [d])

and start Windows Explorer.

Step 2 : Select Computer

Step 3:Select Computer at the top and then Uninstall or change a program

A list of your uninstalled programs will now shows. Find for any McAfee programs and also lookfor any toolbars and not needed programs these are regrettably pre-bundled in third partysoftware and users install them mistakenly. They often damage the performance of InternetExplorer and Windows in common.

Step 4:Select the McAfee program and then click uninstall or change

Step 5: Select yes at the User Account Control Prompt

Step 6 :The uninstaller should now begin select remove.

At this point it is good to restart the computer.

Step 7:Next download the McAfee Removal Tool and save it to desktop or run it straight.

Step 8:Select yes at the User Account Control

Step 9:The removal tool will now start

Step 10:Select next

Step 11 :Enter the characters display on your screen & select next. These will be dissimilar at all times to stop any unofficial use of the removal tool from malicious software.

Step 12: McAfee will be removed and you will be prompted to restart

Step 13:Select yes and that is it McAfee is removed.
