WELCOME!: The University of New Hampshire office of athletic communications genuinely appreciates your coverage of UNH women’s basketball, and looks forward to each and everytime it can welcome you to Durham. Members of the office include women’s basketball contact Jon Luszcz, associate athletic di-rector for communications Mike Murphy, associate directors of athletic communications Doug Poole and Alex Comeau and Greg Roll, assistant director of athletic communications as well as the team of student-assistants, are available to assist with your coverage. The office is happy to help you however it can. We en-courage you to familiarize yourself with the policies relevant to your coverage of the women’s basketball program, as outlined on this page and the next. Please feel free to contact Jon Luszcz via phone or email with questions regarding the media policy.

GENERAL POLICIES: All interviews with any member of the wom-en’s basketball program, including head coach Maureen Magar-ity, the coaching staff and student-athletes must be coordinat-ed through Jon Luszcz in the office of athletic communictions. Members of the media are strictly prohibited from approaching any coach, staff member or student-athlete by any means, in-cluding text messages, email, phone calls (cell, office or home) or social media, such as Facebook and Twitter, without first aproaching athletic communications. Regarding unique subject matter, such as human-interest angles, members of the media are welcome to approach the office of athletic communications at least 24 hours in advance with requests to interview any mem-ber of the program. Approved requests will be granted.

INTERVIEW GUIDELINES:Interviews, either in person or via telephone, with members of the UNH women’s basketball coaching staff and student-ath-letes must be coordinated through assistant director of athletic communications Jon Luszcz. Media are asked not to request an individual’s personal contact information, including email and cell number, but rather to contact Jon Luszcz. Student-athletes and coaches are available for interviews at the conclusion of dai-ly practice sessions. Student-athlete interviews will not conflict with classes, meetings, medical treatment or practice times. In-terviews are not permitted in the locker room or training room. Interviews will not be granted on match days until following the contest. Telephone interviews should be requested at least 24 hours in advance and coordinated through Jon Luszcz. All in-terviews will be processed on an availability basis involving the requested interviewee.

PRACTICE GUIDELINES: All UNH women’s basketball practic-es are open to the media and public, unless otherwise noted. During the season, practice will generally run from 1-4 p.m. during the week, except on match and travel days. Please note, practice times are subject to change on short or no notice. At times, practice will end early, so please plan to arrive early. Prac-tice will usually take place in Lundholm Gymnasium, but contact Jon Luszcz for the most updated schedule. All interviews must take place before or after practice. If this is an issue, contact Jon Luszcz, and the office of athletic communiations and we will try and accommodate your schedule. Student-athlete interviews will not conflict with classes, meetings, medical treatment or practice times. All media should remain on the sidelines, stand-ing a safe distance from the boundary to prevent collisions.

GAMEDAY: Near the end of each home match, the athletic com-mun ciations staff will ask those on hand representing the media who they wish to speak with. Approximately 10 minutes after the conclusion of a match, head coach Maureen Magarity and the selected student-athleteswill be available for questions.

GAMEDAY SERVICES: In-game services include live online statis-tics and box scores following each media timeout.Lundholm Gymnasium offers complimentary wireless Internet access.

REPORTING OF INJURIES: At all times throughout the calendar year, head coach Maureen Magarity will serve as the sole source for injury information. All questions related to injuries should be directed to Magarity, and not to any other members of the program, including athletic trainers, doctors, the injured stu-dent-athlete or her teammates.

From Boston: Take 95 North into New Hampshire and contin-ue on to the toll booth.From the toll, go approximately seven miles to Exit 4 for the Spaulding Turnpike. Go about four miles and take the last exit before the toll (Exit 6W) for Concord and Durham. Go approximately four miles and continue straight through a traffic light (Madbury Road), and proceed another 1 1/2 miles to the Route 155A exit, marked “University of New Hampshire” Take a left turn off the ramp and proceed approxi-mately one mile The Field House will be on your right.

From Maine: Follow 95 South to Spaulding Turnpike (Route 4 West) and continue as above

From the West (Vermont, Concord): Take 89 South to 93 North. Follow 93 North, approximately four miles to393 East, which will merge with Route 4 East. Follow Route 4 to Route 155A exit for “University of New Hampshire.”Make a right off the ramp and proceed as above.

From the West (Manchester, Nashua): Take 93 North to Route 101 East. Follow 101 to Exit 6 (Route 125). Exit and take a left onto 125 and follow straight to Lee Traffic Circle. First right at circle is Route 4 East. Continue as above.

Public Parking: Approximately one-quarter mile before reaching the Field House, make a left turn opposite tennis courts -- Green sign “Field House Parking” -- follow road and turn rightat fork. Parking Lot “A” is one-quarter mile ahead on the left.
