Session 2: 10:00–10:50Virtual Room A: How to do Mundane Astrology the Modern Way – Dr Nicholas CampionAstrologers do not just ‘do’ astrology – they have a theory and a method, but this is almost never stated. So the fi rst steps are to understand not just what they do, but why and how they do it. Combining theory, method and practice, Nick will show how mundane astrology may be justifi ed and practised in a modern context.

In this divinatory playground, let’s step into the role of advisor with carefully selected horary charts for group interpretation, discussion and challenge.

However, the challenges of these houses have powerful opportunities for genuine growth and development. Samuel will unpack rationally the negative associations of these houses, then offer ways to make the best of these difficult areas.

Virtual Room B: Mystical Saturn: A Planet for All Ages – Acyuta-bhava Dasa (Adam Elenbaas) When the planet Neptune was seen for the very first time through a telescope, it was conjunct Saturn. In this talk, we shall explore the symbolism of Saturn across the ages, while also exploring the possibility that the ancient Saturn is just as mystical and other-worldly as any of the modern, outer planets – including Neptune!

Session 9: 17:30–18:20Virtual Room A: Under the Gaze of Janus: The Two Faces of Astrology and the Jupiter–Saturn Conjunct – Graham IbellThe practice of astrology is facilitated by the interplay of Jupiter and Saturn: symbol and structure, intuition and technique, spirit and form, amplification and discrimination. This talk discusses the implications of the upcoming conjunction for astrology, particularly with respect to the meeting of psychological and traditional approaches.

Virtual Room B: Solar Return Charts – Öner DöşerSolar returns are among the most reliable predictive techniques in use today, and they provide us with specific information for each new year of our life. With the help of examples, traditional astrologer Öner Döşer will introduce this technique, which can be used alongside transits, profections and lunar returns.

Session 10: 09:00–09:50Virtual Room A: What to Do Until the Transit is Over (workshop) – Brian ClarkClients often ask which strategies are helpful when undergoing a major transit. Today, Brian will show how to amplify the process and timing of planetary transits, as well as identify different temperamental approaches to change that can help us and our clients participate more consciously in dynamic periods of adjustment.

Virtual Room B: The Saturn–Uranus Square: Making Sense of Everything Changing Now – Nadiya ShahOne of the defining astrological events of next year will be the three-time square between Saturn and Uranus, occurring in February, June and December. This talk will explore how this important aspect represents experimentation as well as resistance to the societal and world changes coming later this decade.

Session 12: 11:00–11:50Virtual Room A: Splitting and Reconnecting: Working with the Nodes in Gemini–Sagittarius (workshop) – Lynn BellAs the North Node travels through Gemini, it pulls things apart and shows their contradictions. It also invites us to look at the world through a split-view mirror and make new connections. In this workshop, we’ll look at how this 18-month transit activates our own charts and consider what this may mean for us personally.

Virtual Room B: Sexuality and Human Relationships – Alejo LópezDo we still believe in a binary model that establishes monogamy as ‘true love’ and other choices as indications of lesser commitment? Or perhaps ‘love is love’ no matter the form it takes. In this talk, we shall challenge traditional ways of assessing love, sex and relationships with the aim of understanding our pulsating hearts.

Session 14: 14:00–14:50Virtual Room A: The Moon’s Phases in Your Life: Your Past in Your Future (workshop) – Dr Bernadette BradyFrom birth, the phases of our progressed Moon slowly unfold to produce a rhythm of waxing and waning seasons that sweep us along for our entire life. meanings of each phase and work with different examples from the group.

By combining Saturn’s sky factors (appearance, brightness, proximity to Earth, etc.) with its chart placement (sign, house, aspects), we quickly find our delineations of Saturn transform from Individual vs Society to Individual + Society.

Virtual Room B: 17:00–18:50 Let’s Go Back to the Future! (workshop) – Patricia Walsh‘It is never too late to be what you might have been,’ said novelist George Eliot. In this workshop, Patricia will describe the dynamics of past karmic complexes – how they impede you in the present while also providing impetus for future growth. She will share a technique to help free you from the past, so you can realize your evolutionary potential.

Session 18: 17:30–18:20Virtual Room A: Creating the Future through Understanding the Past – Dr Richard TarnasAs Kierkegaard wrote in his journal, ‘Life can only be understood backwards, but it must be lived forward.’ This poignant existential truth takes on new, more complex meaning when we bring in astrology. Every act of astrological interpretation exerts a creative influence on the future. This is the great responsibility and challenge bestowed to every astrologer.

Lynn Bell is a Paris-based astrologer and teacher who connects ancient astrological ideas to a psychological and archetypal approach to astrology. Lynn lectures at schools and conferences worldwide and has authored ‘Planetary Threads’ and ‘Cycles of Light’. In 2016, Lynn received the Charles Harvey Award.

Dr Bernadette Brady holds a PhD in Anthropology (2012), an MA in Cultural Astronomy and Astrology (2005), and a Certificate in Egyptology (2020). She is a tutor for the Study of Cosmology in Culture, and has been the recipient of both a Regulus and Charles Harvey Award. Her most recent book is ‘Cosmos, Chaosmos and Astrology’.

Dr Nicholas Campion is programme director of the online Masters degree in Cultural Astronomy and Astrology at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David. His book, ‘Mundane Astrology’ (reprint due in 2021), written with Charles Harvey and Michael Baigent, remains the standard and essential work on the subject.

Wade Caves specializes in horary, electional and classical astrological techniques. He was certified with honours from the Mayo School of Astrology and has expert knowledge of traditional and modern psychological methods of interpretation. He annotated Lilly’s autobiography for a 300th anniversary edition. www.wadecaves.com

Brian Clark, creator of the Astro*Synthesis distance learning programme (www.astrosynthesis.com.au), has been a consulting astrologer and educator for most of his adult life. His latest book, ‘Soul, Symbol & Imagination’, reflects on his 40-year participation and practice of astrology as a student, counsellor and teacher.

Frank Clifford has built an eclectic career as a writer, editor, publisher, consultant, researcher and teacher. He has run the LSA since 2004, recently adding branches in China, Japan, Turkey and online (www.londonschoolofastrology.com). Frank won the Charles Harvey Award in 2012 and a writing award from ISAR in 2016.

Darby Costello fell in love with astrology in the 1960s. Since then she has learned to teach, lecture and write books, and has explored astrology historically and academically. Acyuta-bhava Dasa (Adam Elenbaas) is the critically acclaimed author of ‘Fishers of Men: The Gospel of an Ayahuasca Vision Quest’ (Tarcher/Penguin 2010) and one of the founding writers of the popular web magazine realitysandwich.com. He teaches courses on Hellenistic and horary astrology and is a practitioner of Bhakti yoga.

Öner Döşer is an Istanbul-based astrologer, instructor and the author of 30 books. He is the founder of AstroArt School of Astrology, affiliated with ISAR, and a member of the APAI. Öner has a diploma in medieval astrology, certificates from ISAR and OPA, and is currently the OPA Satellite for Turkey.

Adam Gainsburg’s work includes heliacal cycles of the visible planets, a tantric treatment of Venus and Mars, and a continuum of Chironic wholeness. He is recognized for his research that brings us back to the Living Sky, and Adam’s Soulsign Astrology illuminates the sentient interface of astrology and astronomy.

Graham Ibell has practised and taught astrology in the UK and his native New Zealand for over 20 years, having graduated from the CPA in 2000. He has tutored for the Mayo School since 2010. Alejo López D.F.Astrol.S. was born in Argentina and moved to Europe at age 23. He holds a degree in Performing Arts and another in Psychology. Alejo has studied mythology, shamanism and Kabbalah and is particularly interested in finding sacred languages and techniques that help develop a dialogue with the Divine.

Victor Olliver has been Editor of ‘The Astrological Journal’ since late 2014, and has a distinction diploma from the Mayo School of Astrology. Before taking up astrology, he was an award-winning feature writer. Victor is the first-ever Sun sign columnist for ‘The Lady’ and his books include the year ahead guide, ‘Lifesurfing’.

Melanie Reinhart has been offering consultations and teaching in the UK and abroad since 1975. Her books include ‘Chiron and the Healing Journey’, ‘Saturn, Chiron and the Centaurs’ and ‘Incarnation’.
