URBAN SEAMS Rome, Italy
spring 2011
“Urban Seams” is the design continuation of a project created for the national Ar-turbain Design Competition in Rome. The focus of the design is concentrated on a site adjacent to the Colos-seum. Three points are dis-tinguished from the broader competition objectives to the triangular site displayed. The design points consist of a market, a piazza, and a mixed residential and commercial area. My main focus for the group studio project is direct-ed towards the residential design portion, renderings, and building of the model.
STUDY OF LIGHT AND PASSAGE fall 2009
The “Duality Cube” displays a connection and interaction of light and passage between forms. The two masses are formed of wood and rockite. The cube was displayed in an exhibit in the Uni-versity of Massachusetts’ Studio Arts Building as well as the University’s Architecture pro-gram reaccreditation exhibit at Herter Gallery.
AIANE LIVABLE COMMUNITIES EXHIBITNorthampton, MA

The window display is a rendered and manipulated map of the Pioneer Valley that is disected on to four plexi glass panels. The intention of the installation is to give viewers a sense of location as the the exhibit displays sustainable architectural works of New England. The installation is the only student work on display for this particular ex-hibit and is now displayed at the Pioneer Valley Planning Commission.
GERMAN GERENA COMMUNITY SCHOOL RENOVATION
Springfield, MA2011- 2012
The renovation being completed at the Gerena Community School is intended to divide the program of the school. Dividing the pro-gram into public and private will create for a safer environment for those attending. The design consists of closing off two of the atrium stairwells. Colorful tiles will be incoprorated as well as an art installation in the center of the atrium area. This will liven up to the concrete masonry that exists in the atrium currently and create a connection to the community spaces surrounding the atrium also under renovation, as demonstrated in the images on the right. The renovation of the WGBY Room is one of many as-sisting to revitalize the mall level of this school so local organiza-tions may utilize the spaces again and do so in better conditions.
