TEAM BUILDING BY HERE

IMAGE Let’s make a Facebook contest for poorly performing high school teams. They can nominate themselves for Under Armour athlete training. Each team posts a video explaining why they need more of the “HERE” mindset of hard work, grit and determination instilled in their team.

Teams are selected based on number of Likes by Facebook fans. The teams will get specialized training by our UA athlete’s star trainers to teach the teamwork that UA represents. Upon completion, the team will play against their league’s number one ranked team to prove they’re from here.

WHERE’S YOUR HERE?

Jennings’ Micro G line tells the story of his life and basketball. If fans give Facebook permission to share their information with Under Armour, we’ll generate a custom designed shoe based on their profile. For example, if the fan’s education says Syracuse University his or her shoe will contain orange and blue colors.

After the shoe is digitally created, the fan makes final tweaks and then provides his or her inspirational story similar to Jennings’ Micro G Bloodlines. The shoes are published to UA.com so others can view each shoe and its story. As on added component, Facebook fans can vote their shoe into production.

SWAGGER SHOTS

Under Armour athletes must put in sweat before swagger. On Facebook each week we’ll feature a televised game highlight from a pro, college or high school player showing how their hard work has paid off and the training it took to get there.

We’ll ask fans to comment by posting their clips or pictures of personal best basketball moments such as moves, shots, blocks, etc. For example, we’ll show a highlight of someone doing a sweet move and then show what drills helped them prepare for it.

FOURSQUARE COURTS

Here is continuously thinking about basketball. Let’s create lists for basketball courts in your local area. You can save your favorite courts to a list and when five or more of your friends check-in to a court, you’ll receive a push notification for a pick-up game.

You can also send invites to your friends to meet at a court at so and so time. The more you practice and check-in to the courts around you, the higher the UA discount you’ll receive.

MARK YOUR HERE

Jennings, Walker, Vasquez and Williams’ videos show where they came from. For example, Jennings’ video not only showed his high school basketball court, but also his favorite place to eat and hometown hang-out spots.

We’ll encourage fans to create their own “HERE” histories by labeling the places that influenced them on Foursquare and we’ll provide them with HERE stickers to mark those locations in person.

SWEAT PLEDGES

Here is team-based, unselfish and works hard for the greater good. This is especially true for schools with cut basketball programs and areas in need of keeping kids off the street and turning their time into something more productive such an organized basketball league.

We’ll set-up areas at heavily populated places such as malls and town centers where fans can pledge to run a certain number of suicides in a time period. Under Armour will donate a dollar to a local school in need of basketball funding or a charity, such as Boys and Girls Club, determined by the total amount of suicides completed.

ARCADE B-BALL GAME

Here is earned and here can happen anywhere because it’s a shared mindset. Let’s create an Under Armour branded arcade basketball game where people must shoot basket after basket to earn some gear.

We’ll take it to bars, arcades and other gatherings during nationally televised games and let fans battle for the greatest number of baskets. If someone beats the highest score, the game will dispense a redeemable code to go online and receive a free pair of Micro Gs.

TOWN TAKEOVER SUICIDE COMPETITION

Here is a collective mindset. It not only requires teamwork, but also team spirit. We’ll challenge entire college towns to suicide competitions starting with the University of Arizona, University of Connecticut and University of Maryland. Towns must organize themselves via Facebook events into the greatest number of participants involved in a suicide run to show their team dedication. The town completing the highest number of suicides will determine the next line of custom NCAA t-shirts.

PREGAME TWEETS

Teamwork and a great work ethic have prepared Under Armour athletes for success, but a few pregame rituals never hurt along the way. Let’s have our athletes tweet and share twit pics of their unusual, lucky, superstitious and other routines leading up to the start of a game.

SELECTION SUNDAY BRACKETS

Let’s continue the buzz around our UA athletes and post their chosen brackets on Selection Sunday. Fans can comment on and vote for Jennings, Walker, Vasquez or Williams’ choices and post their own brackets.
