On Maharashtra Prevention of Eradication of Human Sacrifices and other Inhuman, Evil and Aghori Practices and Black Magic Act
2013 7th December 2016
In Indian society, blind faith and beliefs are propagated
in the name of God, evil spirits and divine supernatural or magical
powers. Evidence shows that false god men (Bhondu Babas, Sadhus,
Tankriks, Mantriks, etc.) target the poor as well as people with
psychological, emotional or economic problems. Blind faith harms the
mental, physical and economic existence poor and ignorant people and
destroys the very social fabric of the society.
These false god men not only exploit the poor and ignorant
masses but some educated elite also fall prey to their fraud. It has
become a need of the hour to discourage such practices in society.
Hence, the Government has to take appropriate, urgent and stringent,
social and legal measures. to curtail the spread and evil effects of the
harmful practices of black magic and to save the poor and ignorant
from falling prey, to the sinister designs of the black magicians,
quacks and conmen.
The Maharashtra Prevention of Eradication of Human
Sacrifices and other Inhuman, Evil and Aghori Practices and Black
Magic Act 2013 is very important to expose the claims of false god
men possessing magical or miraculous powers and curb thier

harmony. However, majority of the masses are uninformed and

sinister intentions of false god men who thrive on blind faith, beliefs
