Wonderland

BACKGROUND INFORMATIONWonderland is a fictional fantasy world that is populated by peculiar, anthropomorphic creatures. A hierarchy that is composed of the Queen of Hearts and the King rules the creatures and governs Wonderland. Wonderland is filled with nonsense, imagination, and fantasy. All things in Wonderland are to be “mad” where all events, characters, and places change from moment to moment

QUEEN OF HEARTS As the ruler of Wonderland, the Queen of Hearts executes her power over the citizens of Wonderland with absolute rule. She is a singular force of fear who even dominates the King of Hearts. With an army that is loyal to her every need, the Queen is almost impenetrable within the people of Wonderland. This makes her fearful to all and her word is the rule of law.

LEGAL SYSTEMIn order to deal with the various problems in Wonderland, The Queen puts convicted citizens to trial in which she is the judge. Jurors, heralds, and witnesses are also available during the trial. Although the Queen never actually executes anyone she sentences to death, her power lies in her rhetoric. Very similar to normal court hearings and legal system, a testimony is heard and a sentence is delivered.

CITIZENSThe anthropomorphic creatures include characters such as the White Rabbit, The Cheshire Cat, Caterpillar, and the Mad Hatter. These characters are diverse and provide stories, tales, and sometimes confusion. The Wonderland citizens use distorted and somewhat confusing language. The characters use jokes, riddles, and games of logic in normal situations. Wonderland’s language differs from any other language as it changes meaning and significance from moment to moment. The citizens of Wonderland are under the rule of the Queen of Hearts and are so feared by her that a rebellion against her is out of the question.

TERRITORYThe world of Wonderland is extremely mystical and unlike any other. Filled with magic mushrooms, moving decks of cards, and singing flowers, Wonderland is a place where

fantasy is reality. The citizens inhabit huge forests and gardens and each turn in Wonderland can bring about new adventures.
