In Montenegro, women earn 18% less than men for the same job. At the same time, women, who make half of human capital of the country, participate with less than 10% in entrepreneurship. Notably, the political participation of women can be further strengthened.” said Benjamin Perks, UN Resident Coordinator a.i. and UNICEF Representative in Montenegro in a statement on International Women’s Day. U Crnoj Gori, žene zarađuju 18% manje od muškaraca koji rade isti posao. Istovremeno, žene, koje čine polovinu ljudskih resursa u zemlji, učestvuju sa manje od 10% u preduzetništvu. Očigledna je i potreba za daljim jačanjem i povećanjem učešća žena u politici” – kazao je Bendžamin Perks, v.d. stalnog koordinatora UN i predstavnik UNICEF-a u Crnoj Gori povodom Međunarodnog dana žena.

KAMPANJA „SVI U VRTIĆ“
UNICEF and the Ministry of Education have launched the “Preschool for All” campaign aimed at increasing the preschool enrolment rates in the North of Montenegro. The campaign, launched in Bijelo Polje, is part of a broader initiative of Montenegro, which is supported by UNICEF and aims to achieve 100 percent preschool coverage of children aged 3 to 6 until 2020. UNICEF i Ministarstvo prosvjete pokrenuli su kampanju „Svi u vrtić!“, koja ima za cilj podizanje stope upisa u predškolsko obrazovanje na sjeveru Crne Gore. Kampanja, započeta u Bijelom Polju, dio je širih nastojanja Crne Gore da, uz podršku UNICEF-a, do 2020.godine, dostigne 100-procentni obuhvat predškolskim obrazovanjem djece od 3 do 6 godina.

CRNA GORA NA PETOM MJESTU U EVROPI PO BROJU TRAŽILACA AZILA
The number of asylum applications in industrialized countries reached the highest level in the last 22 years, according to the latest UNHCR’s Asylum Trends 2014 report. Relative to the size of its population, Sweden is the country with the largest number of asylum seekers, followed by Malta, Luxembourg, Switzerland and Montenegro. MORE INFORMATION
Broj zahtjeva za azil u industrijalizovanim zemljama dostigao je rekordan nivo za posljednje 22 godine, navodi se u najnovijem izvještaju UNHCR “Trendovi azila za 2014”. godinu. U odnosu na broj stanovnika, Crna Gora se nalazi na petom mjestu u Evropi po broju tražilaca azila, nakon Švedske, Malte, Luksebmurga i Švajcarske.

“OPEN IDEAS FOR BEAUTIFUL MONTENEGRO” ON A TOUR THROUGH THE COUNTRY 9-12 March 2015
PREDSTAVLJANJE TAKMIČENJA “OTVORENE IDEJE ZA CRNU GORU”
UNDP and Digitalizuj.me team presented this year’s competition “Open Ideas for Beautiful Montenegro” in 5 municipalities taking part in the contest. Presentations in Berane, Mojkovac, Rožaje, Šavnik, and Žabljak aimed to encourage citizens to get involved and submit ideas for the use of public spaces towards local development. MORE INFORMATION
Tim UNDP i Digitalizuj.me posjetio je 5 opština koje učestvuju u ovogodišnjem takmičenju "Otvorene ideje za lijepu Crnu Goru". Prezentacije su održane u Beranama, Mojkovcu, Rožajama, Šavniku, Žabljaku, s ciljem da podstaknu građane da se uključe i predlože ideje za korišćenje javnih površina zarad lokalnog razvoja.

MiMUN 2015: THIRD MODEL OF UN SIMULATION IN MONTENEGRO

MiMUN 2015: TREĆA PO REDU SIMULACIJA RADA UN U CRNOJ GORI
More than 50 students from 10 countries and two continents gathered at the third “Model of UN” simulation in Montenegro – MiMUN 2015, organised at the Faculty of Political Science of University of Montenegro. Five-day exercise included simulation of the work of two UN councils: UN Security Council and UN Human Rights Council. MiMUN 2015 was officially opened by Benjamin Perks UN Resident Coordinator a.i. and UNICEF Representative in Montenegro.
Više od 50 studenata iz 10 zemalja sa dva kontinenta okupili su se na trećoj simulaciji rada UN u Crnoj Gori "Model UN" - MiMUN 2015, koja je organizovana na Fakultetu političkih nauka Univerziteta Crne Gore. Tokom petodnevne vježbe simuliran je rad dva tijela Ujedinjenih nacija: Savjeta bezbjednosti UN i Saveta UN za ljudska prava. MiMUN 2015 svečano je otvorio Bendžamin Perks v.d. Stalnog koordinatora UN i predstavnik UNICEF- a u Crnoj Gori.
