Regional Information and Experience Sharing Platforms-Iİstanbul, Bursa-Eskişehir-Bilecik, Balıkesir-Çanakkale, Tokat-Amasya-Samsun-Çorum, Gümüşhane-Giresun-Trabzon-Artvin-Ordu, Malatya-Elazığ-Tunceli-Bingöl, Mardin-Batman-Siirt-Şırnak, Adana-Mersin Regional Information and Experience Sharing Platforms co-organized by Turkish Grand National Assembly Equal Opportunities Commission for Woman and Man and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in between January 2012 and June 2013.

Regional Information and Experience Sharing Platforms aimed to internalize the concept of gender equality at local and national level and raise awareness.

Regional Information and Experience Sharing Platforms-IIRegional meetings were considered to be an important opportunity in terms providing a stage where the present situation, needs and activities carried out up-to-date on gender equality were discussed in presence of representatives from civil society organizations and all concerned institutions and organizations.

Expected Outcomes from Regional Information and Experience Sharing Platforms

Increased level of awareness and perception on gender equality among general public, including both men and women, 

Decreased level of prejudices on gender equality among general public, including both men and women, 

Developed recommendation package to strengthen the coordination and cooperation among concerned institutions and organizations for the efficient implementation of the plans and programmes on gender equality.
