2012 FACULTY AND STAFF CAMPAIGN UMUC Success Stories Start with You WHAT IS THE UMUC FACULTY AND STAFF CAMPAIGN? UMUC Success StoriesStart with YouENJOY THE CONVENIENCE OF GIVING

THROUGH PAYROLL DEDUCTION

The University System of Maryland Foundation processes donations that are made via payroll deduction to benefit UMUC. Many faculty and staff members choose this method of giving for its ease and practicality.

• Payroll deduction cards are processed on a calendar year schedule, which dictates the timing of the Faculty and Staff Campaign. The deduction begins with the first pay-roll check of the new year and ends with the last payroll check of each calendar year.

• Paychecks are issued 26 times a year. Your donation will be deducted from your paycheck in 26 equal payments. Payroll deductions do not roll over from year to year, but can be renewed each year by completing a new card.

NOTE: When filling out the enclosed State of Maryland Payroll Deduction Authorization, be sure to print your name, Social Security number, and amount to be deducted per pay period in the spaces provided. Don’t forget to circle “Initiate” in the “Deduction Action Requested” box, and remember to sign and date the card.
