1) 90 DEGREE TURN CONVEYOR SYSTEMS

A conveyor section that changes the direction of the conveyor line 90 degrees to the left or right while keeping the pieces oriented in the same direction relative to the conveyor bed.

SYNONYMS:

Depending on your industry, you may call conveyor sections of this type a curved corner, a corner turn, a right angle turn, a right angle corner, a 90-degree curve, a 90-degree corner, or a corner curve.

OPERATIONAL DESCRIPTION:

The Union 90 Degree Turn conveyor section is designed to receive printed circuit board materials as they exit a conveyorized system or process, and then transport them at a 90-degree arc so that the flow of the printed circuit boards changes 90 degrees. However, the dimensional position of the printed circuit boards on the conveyor does not change.The frame is constructed of welded tubular steel. The conveyor is made of PVC rubber covered discs, which drive the printed circuit board or board materials around the curve while providing gentle handling for the board surfaces. Space required: 36" x 36" Power: Fractional horsepower DC motor. Speed: 0 to 30 l.f.p.m.The 90 Degree Turn can be incorporated into any existing system. Two 90-Degree units may be stacked (connected together) to make a 180-Degree Turn.The 90-Degree Turn is available in various sizes and with various pass line heights to meet individual needs.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION:

The improved conveyor system for loading and unloading trucks and trailers as described herein is incorporated as a permanent fixture of the vehicle to which it is attached and is electrically (AC or DC) driven for moving cargo along the floor of the cargo body. Lanyard structure is rigged upon one wall of the cargo body providing means for manually remotely operating an electrical switch which enables the movement of the conveyor to readily be controlled by the workmen from any location along the length of the cargo body. A series of load-bearing flaps are hingedly attached to the floor of the cargo body along a common hinged axis which extends along the length of the conveyor and being situated parallel with the travel thereof. Each of these flaps be swing ably moved between: (1) a load-bearing position wherein each flap overlaps apportion of the conveyor, and (2) a conveyor exposed position wherein each overlays a portion of the floor alongside the conveyor.

4 ) GRAVITY ROLLER CONVEYOR SYSTEMS

Description of Gravity Conveyor:

All gravity conveyors are constructed from a number of components, ie,a drilled frame(usually an angle or channel section),rollers(complete with swaged or flanged bearings),shaftsto mount the rollers and bearings (can be drilled, hexagon, spring loaded, stubbed or threaded).

Gravity systems are used in such instances as conveying cardboard boxes, plastic totes etc. for either, simply transporting from a to b, or for use in Kanban scenarios. As the title states gravity means just that, using the force of gravity to move products. There is no power, hence it is simple and extremely cost effective. You can either free wheel the productsmanually(horizontally) or include a slightdeclineto allow a fall over a certain distance.
