Miles Morales’ Basic Clothing Main Colors used: Red - Blue - Black

*The Pants are meant to

be Jeans.

Jacket Concepts I replicated some basic designs (real life versions found below drawings). The reason for the heavy earth tones - were mostly designed for darker moments in the film. A flannel this color stays in line with the original color scheme but also gives a sense of gloom or depression.

• Simple denim shirt with a white T. paired with red or burgundy jeans or joggers.

• Simple - laid back but put together.

• I’d prefer to see the shirt buttoned up.

• Red and white button up with tiny squares, again plays within the color schemes but with the white squares and t shirt. It gives a fresher

Side note:

White may drain the color from Josh’s face. Meaning Skin tone

may need to be adjusted.

• Simple sweatshirt designs. I couldn’t really draw exactly the kind of sweatshirts I had in mind. However I think just long sleeve shirts would be best.

I like the idea of having simple solid colors, though the thin stripes seen here give a meek feeling.

I can’t tell whether or not the actual shirt is Red and Black or Red and Blue but I really like it, and think it plays into the color scheme perfectly. As well as projects the tone of the film.

SUPERIOR SPIDERMAN COSTUME CONCEPTS

Superior Spiderman Costume ConceptWhen first designing the suit, I was given three images of what the Director and writers had in mind. This is the product of the three

combined.

Costume Concept 2• This second design is more of a

obscure type of Suit, with the colors of the first being switched and change in hue.

• The suit also doesn’t have an area which extends towards the crotch like the first.

• The symbol has also been changed, to frame his a rib cage a bit more.

• I played around with the idea of using a circle rather than a spider symbol. Only to change the feeling of the character. However his demeanor goes into a more mysterious route rather than cocky.

Costume Concept 3• This design was entirely different from

the last two, and plays more into the way he was described in the script as a “black silhouette”.

The same suit used in Concept 4 only the mask is different.

Costume Concept 4 “The Bane Look”

• This concept was more of a Bane themed costume. The spider symbol on the mask gives a cynical feeling to the whole of the outfit. The symbol on the chest is designed to do the same. With skinnier legs on the spider, it gives the outfit more of a astatic feeling. Also it plays into a “wrestler” type of theme.

• The director suggested a backpack, So I decided to connect the legs of the spider symbol to a small pack on his back but this would call for thicker legs for the symbol.

• The white eyes, were used to convey rage. So they almost scream at whoever looks at him. However Superior Spiderman isn’t quite conveyed as that sort of character.

Pocket Designs The director suggested a utility belt, but I thought that maybe a utility belt might be too cliché. So I designed types of pockets that could be sewn into the suit. Square - Circle - and Triangle shapes can alter the suit, so I believe the best choice for the “Bane” type suit would be the Triangular one.
