Plate Application

• ExposetheboneintheintervalbetweentheECUandFCU.

• Applytheplatetothebone.Ensurethatthetwosmallinstrumentholesonthesideoftheplatearevisible.

• Positiontheplatetoavoiddistalimpingementduringshortening.

• Drillusing2.3mm(red)drillandinsertonenon-locking3.2mmscrewintheslottedholeattheendfarthestfromtheosteotomysite.Repeatwiththree3.2mmscrewsontheoppositesideofplate,startingwiththeendscrewhole.

Pin Fixation

• PlacetheCombinationDrillGuideontheplate.

• Inserttheshort1.6mm(0.062”)K-wireflushalongthebackwallofthepinslotintheCombinationDrillGuideandthroughonecortex.

• RepeatwiththelongerK-wireandremovetheCombinationDrillGuide.

Osteotomy

• Selecttheappropriate‘A’SawGuidebasedontheplannedresection(2,3,4or5mm)andinsertintotheplate.HoldtheguidewiththeBoneClampor1.6mmK-wire(seeTips).

• Makethecutwithasawbladeof0.4mmthicknessandirrigateliberally.

• Remove‘A’SawGuideandinsert‘B’SawGuide.Makethesecondcutandremovebonewafer.

Compression Clamp Application

• InserttheCompressionClampintotheholeonthefixededgeoftheplate.

• AdjusttheclampsotheK-wiresleeveisjustbelowthecentralaxisoftheulnaandawayfromtheosteotomysite.

• Inserta1.6mm(0.062”)K-wirethroughthesleeveandengagethefarcortex.

Osteotomy Compression

• Loosenthescrewintheslottedhole1/4turn.

• ShortentheulnawithCompressionClamp.UseaBoneClampforaddedcompressionoftheosteotomysite.

• Checkbothsidesoftheosteotomysiteforbonecoaptation.

Lag Screw Hole Preparation

• Re-applytheCombinationDrillGuideanddrillalagscrewholeusing2.3mm(red)drillandguide.

• RemovetheCombinationDrillGuide.

• MeasurethelongsideoftheholewiththeDepthGauge.

• Usethebonetaptoensurethatthelagscrewthreadseasily.

Lag Screw Insertion

• Insertlagscrewensuringpurchasewiththefarcortex.

• Re-tightenthecorticalscrewintheslottedholeandensuretheosteotomyremainscompressed.

Final Fixation

• Inserttheremainingcorticalscrews.

• RemoveK-wiresandBoneClamp.
