Computers in Libraries

Every one of Staffordshire’s 45 public libraries has computers with Internet access, available for members of the public to use. Some mobile libraries have computers onboard, too. FindYQurnearestJJbraryQJLthellbrariesJJlap.

Anyone can use the computers for free, for one hour every day. After that, you can purchase extra time if you are 16 or over. Under 16s are limited to two free hours of computer use each day.

Booking a computer Computers can be booked in advance, if you .would find that more convenient. Ring you local library to reserve one at a time that suits you.

Starting out Are you new to the Internet and World Wide Web? Libraries can help you! As well as stocking books for beginners, many libraries offer free sessions to help you get started with using computers. Some libraries offer access to Learndirect courses and training.

You can use the computers to:

. Surf the Internet . Word-process a letter or CV . Create a poster . Send an email . Find out more about your hobbies . Research your Family history . Listen to the radio . Find information to help you with your studies or homework.

Please ask at your local library for full details about computer access, beginner sessions and conditions of use.

25/05/03 23:00 Sandyford, Lanarkshire High and bright object. No anti-collisionliahts.

circles.14/09/05 21:45 Glenrothes, Fife Three to six, bright white lights in circles.14/09/05 23:15 Crieff, Perthshire Clear white lights, like a torch, but no

beam.14/09/05 20:50 Letham, Fife White circles all over the sky.14/09/05 20:55 Blairgowrie, Perthshire Three white circles going clockwise and

then anti-clockwise.14/09/05 21:23 Kinross, Perthshire Two to three bright green and luminous

lights circling.05/12/05 21:15 Dunfermline, Fife The object looked like a black triangle. Was

flying above a passenger jet that wastravelling from North to South.

16/12/05 14:10 Peebles, Borders The object was small and silver. Was flyingtwice the speed of a military aircraft in avery straight line.

December 05 Harrington, East Lothian A UFO was seen.

Scotland A blue ball of light, with a tail at the end was seen.

West Kilbride, Ayrshire There were two spheres and one was following the other. They looked like they were movin from side to side.

West Kilbride; Ayrshire Four golden spheres. They drifted - South to North East. They were definitely solid uided crafts.
