Career Summary: Manager-Design, EAIC-Larsen & Toubro (Since Aug. 2007 to present)

Activities:

Leading a cross functional team, ensuring synchronization among design, engineering, marketing, tooling &

quality cells, for design & development of various products.

Conceptualization & design of plastic, sheet metal, machined & die-cast components considering ease of

tooling, manufacture & assembly, user ergonomics, material and process selection.

Development of design documents such as component drawings, assembly & testing procedures for

production at assembly line and customer interface documents such as product instruction manuals.

Performing product approval testing at external laboratories like ERTL Mumbai, ERDA Vadodara, Gujarat etc.

Involvement with ancillary branches of product design viz. industrial design cell, plastics cell & packaging cell.

Certification of the products to meet different aspects of various international standards such as IEC, CE, UL,

also dealing with third party certification agencies such as DEKRA, ASTA etc.

Implementation of various design and analytical tools like ANSYS, MATLAB, JMAG, PRO-Mechanica etc. to

minimize the design output iterations.

Working closely with Product Marketing team to capture VOC, meeting clients, site visits, understanding the

market, trending, market analysis, handling customer complaints, product value addition through strategic

implementation of inputs from various ISPs.

Design Registration: 9 Product Design Registrations (IPR created by self) for various switchgear products for

Design:
