UDDERBELLY

JUBILEE GARDENS

WELCOME We’re thrilled to announce the return of Udderbelly Festival to Southbank Centre for a 5th consecutive year. If you haven’t been to the festival before, it’s very simple - we cram a big upside-down purple cow with comedy, circus, theatre and family shows and let it graze on the bank of the Thames until mid-July. Nearly all of our tickets are between £10 and £20 and we guarantee that there is something for everyone. Come and watch brilliant new circus in Flown or the UK’s first circus talent competition, Circus Maximus. Do what tens of thousands of people have already done and buy a ticket to The Boy With Tape On His Face, fresh from a Christmas run in the West End. Or tuck in to over 50 comedy shows.

We couldn’t do any of this without our partners, Southbank Centre, and you, our audience. Thank you to everyone who has supported the festival in the last four years and we thank you in advance for making Udderbelly Festival at Southbank Centre THE place to be this spring and summer.

Ed Bartlam and Charlie Wood Head Farmers

This summer, Southbank Centre is presenting Festival of Neighbourhood with MasterCard, a celebration and exploration of local communities, rural and urban, cities and villages. Through a programme of talks, debates, shows, exhibitions and projects, we will explore and celebrate how we all live together. A part of Southbank Centre’s neighbourhood is the Udderbelly Festival, returning this summer with a new programme of shows, including family performances, comedy, cabaret and circus. A special ingredient is the Udderbelly Academy, where a fantastic group of young people are trained to become the festival programmers of the future. I hope you will be part of our neighbourhood this summer and join us at the one and only upside-down purple cow.

Jude Kelly, OBESouthbank Centre Artistic Director

THE PASTURE

Our bar and food garden is a great place to laze and graze this summer. You don’t need a ticket to a show to come in and you’ll be treated to fresh, organic food, deck chairs, giant games and superb views over the Thames. Our opening hours:Thursday – Saturday: midday to midnightSunday – Wednesday: midday to 11pm
