2.2 SOUTH AFRICAN STATUTES

The first time you refer to a statute, use the full form:

Provide the government assigned regulation or proclamation number, the number and publication date of the Government Gazette in which it appeared.

The abbreviations GNR, GN and GG are permissible before a number, except if at the beginning of a sentence or footnote.

Cite the statute as published in most recent consolidation, ie provide the relevant chapter number:

2.5 UNITED KINGDOM
