Tutees of the QuarterWe would like to recognize these students for all of their hard work!

Melody RamirezMelody is always the first person to ask how she can help. Not only is she eager to help, Melody is excited and has a positive attitude about working with others. Melody’s helpful and pleasant attitude makes us always look forward to having her with us. She is a good role model for the rest of her friends and, like a ray of sunshine, she never fails to brighten up the

Stella ChenStella Chen is an extraordinary and diligent student who never fails to listen to instructions. Stella not only always aims to complete her work, but also to understand the curriculum thoroughly. Stella is a bright girl who will be able to accomplish whatever she sets her mind to. Well-liked by both her peers and the tutors, it has been a great pleasure to have her in our program! We are very proud of her.

Stephanie LooAside from always having a positive attitude, Stephanie Loo has improved on her writing so much such that she has earned honor roll. Stephanie’s hard work is an inspiration to both the tutors and tutees in Project WILD. For the other tutees, Stephanie is an exemplary role model whom the other kids should emulate. Stephanie, you have accomplished a lot so far, and we hope you will keep up the excellent work!

Dear families of Project WILD,

This has been a wonderful Winter Quarter for Project WILD! We have had many super fun mystery-themed activities. Our tutees have been learning about detectives, acting as secret agents, and solving puzzles. In addition, we have been working hard on improving our curriculum, and we have implemented a new sign out system to keep our kids safer.

For our field trip, we brought the kids to UCLA to solve the mystery of the missing Bruin bears! A few weeks ago, we introduced our tutees to Joe and Josephine Bruin’s cubs. The kids all voted and gave adorable names to the baby bears. Unfortuately, the bears were kidnapped by Dr. Evil! Throughout the field trip, the kids went to different stations and learned a variety of math, science, art, and other topics in order to find the bears!

Thank you for all of your support! We really appreciate it, and we look forward to more fun times with you! Sincerely, Project WILD
