Dr. Kirti Jain, Chairman, GBH American Hospital during his Golden Jubilee Lecture Series
emphasized “the dire necessity for developing Udaipur as a Medical Hub, so as to cater to the
need of providing better healthcare facilities to patients & citizens of nearby districts and rural
areas of Udaipur Region. By quoting examples of medical & healthcare facilities as are
available in other big cities of the country, Udaipur can be developed as a Medical Hub by way
of setting up some more big private hospitals having professionally-trained medical doctors &
staff with new & latest state-of-the-arts hospital machines & diagnostic equipments.”
Dr. Kirti Jain Chairman, GBH American Hospital
Shri Bhupendra Kaushal, General Manager (HR), J.KTyre & Industries Ltd. said that “India has
mixed economy. Besides Public Sector Undertakings, there are good number of industries in
private sector. Government has made wide amendments in labour laws to attract newer
industrial investments. At the same time, due to open market policy a great revolution is seen
in industry & business. To stay in competitive market, it is essential to bring down the cost of
products & services, and for this it is imperative to outsource the work & services to the extent
possible.”
Bhupendra KaushalGeneral Manager (HR), J.KTyre & Industries Ltd.
Shri S.S.Kothari, Hon’ble Lokayukta, Rajasthan in his keynote address stated that “Due to
importance of wealth, persons accumulating money through corrupt means are getting
recognizition in the society, and this is a major cause of increase in the corruption in the
country Corruption can not be withheld by making law. People should also have enough
courage to bycot such persons in the society who earn money by way of corrupt means.”
S. S. Kothari Hon’ble Lokayukta, Rajasthan.
Shri B.P. Jain, Chief Commissioner of Income Tax said that India was probably the only bright
spot in the present gloomy world economic situation. He exhorted that as a good citizen, each
one of us should pay our income tax dues on time, so as to contribute to nation building. He
was appreciative of the cordial relations of the IT Deptt. officials with the tax payers and
informed that government has taken lot many measures to simplify taxation administration
and bring mutual trust between the assessees and the department. He further said that on the
basis of financial resources by way of tax collection, the economic status of a country is
assessed, and this economy works like litmus paper test.

GOLDEN JUBILEE YEARGOLDEN JUBILEE LECTURE SERIES
In the 1950s when private initiative was hard to come by, and was considered very courageous, our Founder President,
Late Shri P P Singhal, ventured and led the industrialization in the Udaipur Region and founded the PI group. In 1965, he
began laying the foundations of our Chamber. With the inception of UCCI in 1965, it culminated into a Golden Jubilee
Chamber in February, 2015, and we decided to celebrate Golden Jubilee Year.
Being supported by our esteemed members, we could chalk out various activities and programmes including organizing
Golden Jubilee Lecture Series for our members with the involvement of evangelists like industry icons, senior government
officials, judicial stalwards, motivational gurus, bankers & professionals and health & well-being specialists of
international repute by sharing their experience & Vision.
While in our above endeavour of Golden Jubilee Lecture Series, the first two such Lectures by Shri Sunil Kant Munjal, Jt.
Managing Director, Hero Motocrop and Shri Anil Agarwal, Chairman, Vedanta Group were organized during last year
2014-15, during this year (2015-16) we organized Golden Jubilee Lectures as detailed below :

By way of giving various facts, figures & data, Shri Akhilesh Joshi, President, Global Zinc
Business, Hindustan Zinc made out a picture of how active role Vedanta group is playing in
partnering “Make in India” campaign and nation building. He said that though the country is
rich in natural resources, but one day they would be exhausted and therefore, a full proof
system is required to be developed for continuity in operation of industrial machinery and
economic activities of the region and the country.
Akhilesh Joshi President, Global Zinc Business, Hindustan Zinc
“To become big entrepreneur, it is essential first to dream for the same. Your inherent feeling
that you can enhance the economic life & level of a good number of your employees and their
family members by providing them employment opportunities will give you vigour & courage
to establish your own enterprise.” - are the views expressed by Dr. Raghupati Singhania, CMD,
J.K.Tyre Industries Ltd. while delivering Golden Jubilee Lecture Series on “Emerging Scenario & rdChallenges of Indian Trade & Industry” at P.P. Singhal Auditorium of UCCI on 23 September,
2015
Dr. Raghupati SinghaniaCMD, J. K. Tyre Industries Ltd.
Shri Hamirwasia stated that for operation of cement industry, 45% of its cost is dependent on
coal and energy, while 24% share goes to government on account of taxation. Thus, there
remains only 30% share to the industry for cost and quality control of the product by showing
its management skill. He suggested that blended potland cement should be used by cement
industry, as the limestone reserve in the country is fast depleting.
V. K. HamirwasiaPresident, Birla Corporation Cement Works
Shri Niranjan Nagori, Sr. Joint President, Birla Corporation in his address said that
transportation of cement is more dependent on roads. Therefore, government should give
more thrust on development of newer national highways and automobile industry should
introduce bigger capacity latest trucks/dumpers for smoother transportation of cement.”
Niranjan NagoriSr. Joint President, Birla Corporation
Shri S. Munot, CMD, Bank of Maharashtra in his Golden Jubilee Lecture Series on “MSME thFinancing” organized at UCCI on 16 November, 2015 stated that production &
manufacturing sectors of industry should be given extra importance & priority to achieve GDP.
He suggested entrepreneurs to draw a project report keeping in view the market &
circumstantial position of industry as may prevail in next five years. The entrepreneurs should
also analyze the need of the financial resources based on such project report. Shri Munot also
suggested that with the expansion of enterprise, the entrepreneurs should simultaneously
upgrade their technology, bring diversification in their products and invest their capital in
other alternative industries also.

During Golden Jubilee Lecture Series on “Challenges in Building Exports & Indian Brand” at thUCCI on 30 December, 2015, Shri Babu Babel, President, IEEMA said that to enhance exports
& make Indian brand, we should have a clear strategy for exports and need to understand the
basic challenges therefor through SWOT. Export is a long term commitment and we should
accordingly be ready by identifying and mitigating the risks prevailing in legal systems, human
resources, finance, quality, environmental approvals, logistics, country of origin issues etc. etc.
On quality front, Shri Babu said that “Chalta Hai” approach not at all be taken, as lost of trust
will damage your creditibility and brand for ever. So, keep consistent agreed quality and
supply standard. Concluding his lecture, Shri Babel said that Indian exporters have a world of
opportunities ahead of them to explore and many challenges to surmound to become a major
player in the world. He said our time has come.... and together we can.
