The products are completely water-soluble and can be easily removed from the surface by rinsing. Alternatively, where the use of water is unsuitable, alcohol or acetone may be used for removal. Used in a wide range of industries, UCA-2 / UCA-2M have passed the demanding requirements of prime operators, engine manufacturers, M.O.D. etc. UCA-3HT Specially developed as an ultrasonic coupling agent for field use, where large structures have to be inspected, possibly at elevated temperatures of up to 250 °C. UCA-3HT consists of high-boiling-point silicone fluid incorporating inorganic thickening agents and stabilisers. UCA-3HT offers specific advantages where the inspection of large reaction vessels has to be carried out and when inspection at ambient temperatures is impractical. UCA-3HT is normally applied as a viscous droplet to the tip of the probe prior to contact with the surface to be inspected. It will remain in position without running or drying and will provide excellent acoustic transmission up to the temperatures stated. UCA-7 UCA-7 is specifically designed as a highly portable and economical alternative to standard couplants and consists of a dry powder blend of water-soluble gelling agents, corrosion inhibitors, wetting agents and fluorescent pigments. The powder forms a thixotropic gel suitable for ultrasonic inspection when added to water whilst stirring. The consistency of the gel can be adjusted to suit by varying the ratio of powder to water as desired. Add the finishing touch of quality to your U/T technique Benefits include: Excellent probe coupling Outstanding acoustic transmission Non-toxic Effective corrosion inhibition Use on ferrous and non-ferrous materials

    Chemetall's Ultrasonic Coupling Agents

    Product Description UCA-2 / UCA-2M As water-based couplants, virtually neutral in reaction, UCA-2 / UCA-2M are

suitable for use on metals, painted surfaces, plastics, synthetic and natural rubbers or composites. The products are completely water-soluble and can be easily removed from the surface by rinsing. Alternatively, where the use of water is unsuitable, alcohol or acetone may be used for removal. Used in a wide range of industries, UCA-2 / UCA-2M have passed the demanding requirements of prime operators, engine manufacturers, M.O.D. etc.

UCA-3HT Specially developed as an ultrasonic coupling agent for field use, where large structures have to be inspected, possibly at elevated temperatures of up to 250 C.
