Campus LinensAll furnished rooms come with a mattress pad. However, Student Housing and Hospitality Services does not provide bedding or bath linens—you must bring your own.

For extra convenience, Campus Linens of Canada offers online sales of high quality bed and bath linens and is the only vendor approved to deliver products to Winter Session Residences before students move in.

Thank you for supporting your student’s choice to enroll in UBC Vantage College! This program will allow students to learn English in a supportive environment, build a community of friends, develop strong life skills, and discover where their passions lie. We recognize that this is certainly a transitional time for both your student, and yourself, and we hope we can help ease that transition.

What is Vantage College? The only international college of its kind at a top-tier university in Canada, UBC Vantage College offers a unique first-year academic program. Students will receive instruction from UBC faculty, live in residence on UBC’s beautiful campuses, and get involved in various opportunities throughout campus. After completing the 11-month Vantage One Program, which includes a 2-week orientation and English language support integrated into academic courses, students will seamlessly transition into their second year at UBC.

Airport PickupVantage College is offering complimentary transportation for students from Vancouver International Airport to UBC Residence on August 18th. Students can fill out our survey to indicate when they will be arriving Vancouver, so that we can accommodate their arrival. Encourage your student to fill out the survey! All Vantage College students will live in UBC residence, in one of two buidings: Place Vanier or Totem Park. Residence is more than just place to sleep. Living on campus provides the opportunity for your student to become connected to the rich community at UBC. Students report that living on campus helped them to be more successful, feel a part of student life more quickly, and build exciting new friendships with other students from Canada and the world. Our staff are committed to creating a vibrant campus community that supports your student in achieving their academic goals, while also offering a welcoming, enriching home away from home. All students will have a meal plan that allows them to eat in the residence dining halls, and other food service locations around campus. If your student has not yet confirmed their spot in residence, they can do so here:

Protection of PrivacyThe University is not able to discuss student’s application, record or experience with a parent, guardian, or family member, without the student’s permission, in accordance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIPOP) legislation. The personal information received through a resident’s application for, or acceptance of a residence offer—including their name, address, residence assignment or fees—is subject to the FOIPOP. It is not generally released to persons outside the University administration—including family members or friends—without their written consent, unless permitted or required by law. When they apply for residence, each applicant is advised of this, and asked if they authorize information release.
